星期六的早上，妹妹出門從Euro Pane帶回來一大盒的甜點，這家位在Pasadena的蛋糕店，早就聽聞他們大名以久了呢！
甜點就是用個很普通的白色紙盒裝著，盒子上面印有Euro Pane的店名和地址電話，雖然是很有名的店，但是包裝看起來很「平實」呢！
我妹還真是一次就買了一大盒，有些吃了一半是他在開車回家的路上就打開偷吃囉！這樣一大盒我妹說大約US$30多。
開心果小圓餅 Pistachio Macaroons
早聽聞小圓餅的魅力，結果這居然是我第一次吃到小圓餅，真是鄉巴佬啊！這款綠色的是開心果口味。
外面一層是有點脆脆的糖衣，再來是軟軟黏黏的裡層，中間夾心是濃膩奶油，還可以看到不少開心果的果粒，第一次吃的感想是，好甜喔！
小圓餅(開心果、榛果和巧克力) Macaroons (Pistachio, Hazelnut, Chocolate)
妹妹買了三種口味，想說一個一個照好麻煩，乾脆三個一起來了啦！開心果、榛果和巧克力三種口味的小圓餅，我最喜歡的是巧克力，小圓餅小小一個，但是真的好甜，所以我吃了半個就投降啦！
卡娜蕾 Canele
這款蛋糕我真的不知道叫什麼名字，看這一盒的時候，就覺得這個看起來最醜，一點都沒有很好吃的樣子，沒想到這最後居然是我這一大盒中最喜歡的，這蛋糕吃起來的口感還蠻像發糕的，外層是焦糖，吃起來有點脆脆的口感，有焦糖那種苦甜口味但是不會太甜，很好吃耶！吃了這蛋糕我就想來杯咖啡搭配，有沒有人可以告訴我這蛋糕的正確中英文名稱啊？
麵包？
這款我也是不知道叫什麼名字，吃起來就是有點硬硬的麵包灑上糖粉，麵包一點都不會甜，因為不甜所以我媽最喜歡這款。
杯子蛋糕 Cupcake
鑲了一小片金箔紙的杯子蛋糕，看起來很華麗，吃起來就只有一個感覺，超甜，這家的甜點一定要弄成這麼甜嗎？
無麵粉巧克力蛋糕 Flourless Chocolate Cake
這是我覺得造型最吸引人的蛋糕，不是用麵粉做的蛋糕，那是用什麼呢？應該就是用奶油吧？整個蛋糕超級rich，吃起來就是很濕軟的巧克力，吃兩口是很好吃，但是吃第三口就開始感覺甜膩了。
檸檬蛋糕 Lemon Bar
這檸檬蛋糕聽說是Euro Pane的超人氣商品，銷量非常好，這款是還不錯吃，但是檸檬味也沒有很濃，還是蠻甜的。
這家Euro Pane是標榜歐洲口味的糕點，對我個人的口味來說，真的是太甜了一點，每種我都吃一、兩口以後，就覺得完全血糖升高，然後甜到牙齒痛，這種歐洲的甜點我吃不來啦！還是喜歡我們亞洲人做的蛋糕比較不會那麼甜膩。不過愛這家店的人真的很多，喜歡甜食的朋友還是可以去試試看，聽說他們家的三明治也很好吃喔！也許他們的三明治會比甜點更吸引我？！
我想那个發糕？有点像Bundt Cake.

Wow~~ looks so yummy!! ^_^ Just looked up for the name (I'm curious too :P) and it's called caneles (a small French pastry with a soft and tender custard center and a dark, thick caramelized crust) Gonna gives it a try one of these days ~

那個叫「可麗露」。台灣新光三越樓下的東客麵包有賣~配紅茶好好吃~

除了Canele以外
那Canele超級好吃
這家最有名的是它的egg salad sandwich和cream cheese-filled croissant和blueberry brioche。另外推薦bread pudding和quiche.

另外他們的小圓餅,冰淇淋,巧克力和軟糖也都不錯吃~
而且包裝是走Tiffany風 haha
Boule在La Cienage Blvd上靠近Beverly center那兒
還有ㄚ, 我前天去Surfas也有看到他們賣一盒一盒冷凍的
在National和Washington交叉口, 就是不知道好不好吃說 ^^

Don't you just hate it? I mean the ultra-sweetness in American baked goods. The real French pastry is never meant to be so sweet. These are probably made to cater to American taste buds.

I know! I really don't understand why do Americans have to make everything THAT sweet.
I had Sprinkles cupcakes a few times, but just never wrote about it.
Film crews like to order Sprinkles on set for snacks. (I used to do extra work if you didn't know.)
I remember the first time I had it was 1.5 years ago on the set of a cancelled TV show "Big Day".
The crews ordered about 150 cupcakes for the director's birthday.
My fellow co-workers were all saying that's the famous $3 cupcakes.
I still remember my first bite of Spinkles cupcake. It was so creamy (the icing) and soft (the cupcake).
I kept on saying "oh my god this is good!". So I had 3 or 4 on that day haha.
Then I had Spinkles a few more times on various TV/movie sets.
Maybe I had it too often? (It used to be so popular so they really order it all the time.)
Then all of a sudden, I just don't get excited about it anymore.
I still think it's really good, but I wouldn't go out of my way and wait in line for 1 hour just for some expansive cupcakes.
But I'll always remember my first bite of Spinkles Cupcake!

I like Sprinkles, too.
Liz: I hope it wasn't a huge party because Sprinkles cupcakes are EXPENSIVE!!!! I can't justify spending near $4 for one tiny little cake. I like Sprinkles because comparing to the usual baked sweets, its cupcakes are not so sweet (frosting is sweeter than the cake). However, at this kind of price, I'd rather go for Chinese or Korean baked sweets.....

Euro Pane is among my fav bakeries in the neighborhood.之前常常跟也在local office的同事或朋友在那吃sandwitch來個lunch date順便BS一番 呵

不過我同事們是歐洲人 難道被老美同化 他們常常吃lemon bar
還沒聽他們抱怨很甜 the next time I will check with them
Sprinkles看起來很好吃喔! I am no big fan of cupcakes but it surely tastes as good as it presents
