Next birthday request from my sister, Snow Ice from Pa Pa Walk.  I've been to Pa Pa Walk twice before.  I thought their food was just ok, but very expensive.  My sister heard that their snow ice is really good.  She actually tried to go 3 times before on weekends, and it was sold out all 3 times.

Snow ice is expensive there.  Actually EVERYTHING is expensive there.  At first we only wanted the small snow ice for $6.  But the waiter told us small is only one tiny bowl of it, and wouldn't be enough for two people to share.

抹茶雪花冰 Green Tea Snowy (L) ($9.00)

So we had to order a large for $9.  Even though it was called large, it really wasn't that big.  The snow ice was very soft and tasty.  I like the addition of condense milk and red bean, and a scoop of green tea ice cream.  Still, $9?  That's just expensive.

炸雞捲 Deep Fried Chicken Roll ($5.25)

Not only they are expensive, they even have a $3 minimum charge per person requirement.  So even though we intended to come in just to share a plate of $9 snow ice, I was forced to order an item.  That just didn't feel good.  Anyway, I picked Deep Fried Chicken Roll.  I've always liked chicken roll since I was little in Taiwan.  The chicken roll here was pretty good.  Big pieces with lots of meat inside.

Snow Ice was good.  Still, way overpriced, and I hate that stupid minimum charge rule.  In conclusion, I just don't like Pa Pa Walk.

  1. funny...they used to have mango shaved mountain that's like very huge portion...6 of us couldn't even finish it. They don't have it anymore?

I think they still have it.

  2. I think the shaved ice is good at Papa walk, but I agree, it's too expensive. Have you tried the snow shaved ice at Class 302 in Rowland Heights? It's just as good, more different flavor options and a lot cheaper. For about $6-7, you get a pretty big bowl.I

I attempted to try Class 302 one time.
But the wait was too long so we gave up.
Still would love to try it one day!

The minimum charge is so retarded.
What if I already ate and just want to go hang out with my friends?
So stupid, and so greedy. I don't like that.
