My sister went to Harbor Kitchen before and really liked the food.  So for her birthday lunch, she wanted to go there.  I thought it was just another Cantonese cafe and didn't expect much.  But the food turned out to be soooooo good that now Harbor Kitchen is one of my favorite restaurants in that area.



We wanted to go there for lunch special, but got there a little late.  After 3pm, no more lunch special.  But guess what?  They have an afternoon tea menu, and the deals are even better!  The price is cheaper than lunch special for the same portion of food, and you also get a free drink.  We didn't even know about the afternoon tea special.  Now we know, we'll always try to go there between 3~5pm.




Afternoon Tea Menu has a lot less item than lunch special, but still there are so many yummy looking food we wanted to try.


凍奶茶 Iced Milk Tea ($0.50 extra) / 咖啡 Hot Coffee

For our free drinks, I picked hot coffee and my sister got iced milk tea.  There's a $0.50 charge for cold drinks.  You get unlimited refills, and I even saw people asking for a refill for to-go.


星洲炒米 Singapore Style Fried Rice Noodle ($4.95)

I love Singapore Style Fried Rice Noodle.  It's curry fried rice noodle with shrimp, pork, chicken, egg, and bean sprout.  It's slightly spicy and full of flavor.


XO醬炒蘿蔔糕 Pan Fried Turnip Cake w/ XO Sauce ($4.95)

Pan Fried Turnip Cake w/ XO Sauce was also a little spicy.  The turnip cake was a little crunchy on the outside and very soft and chewy on the inside.  XO Sauce was soooo yummy.  I kinda want a bowl of rice with it.


梅菜肉餅煲仔飯 Minced Pork with Preserved Vegetables in Clay Pot Rice ($6.95)

And I got my bowl of rice.  It wasn't just any rice, but Minced Pork with Preserved Vegetables in Clay Pot Rice.  The pork "cake" was so juicy and tender.  I loved the flavor of preserved vegetables.  The rice was done just right.  The crunchy part near the side of the clay pot was the best.  We added the Maggi sauce to the clay pot and mixed everything together.  It was toooooooo good!



I love this restaurant.  There's nothing fancy about the decor, not very good service, nothing too special food, but everything just tastes so damn good!  Can't wait to go back again!!
