I found out from my brother that Tokyo Table in Arcadia has all you can eat shabu shabu now.  He went twice already, and said it was good.  Besides shabu shabu, there are also a few appetizers and rolls included in the all you can eat deal.  Drinks are included, too.  All that for only $15.95 per person.  What a great deal!  I really wanted to go try it.  So I got my parents, brother and sister-in-law to go with me.

Edamame ($2.50)

We started by ordering a round of all the appetizers and rolls included in the all you can eat deal.  Gotta have some edamame to start off a Japanese meal.  (I wrote the original price here for reference.)

Yukari French Fries ($3.00)
Fried shoestring potatoes sprinkled with shiso salt seasoning

I really like their Yukari French Fries.  Those are pretty addicting.

Gyoza Potsticker ($5.50)
Japanese potstickers served with chili soy sauce

Gyoza Potstickers had vegetable fillings, and the chili soy sauce for dipping was quite good.  My brother said the last two times he was there, the gyoza had meat inside.  Even though there's no meat this time, I still like the vegetable gyoza.

Vegetable Tempura
Assortment of pumpkin, carrot, sweet potato and shiitake mushroom

Vegetable Tempura had all the vegetable I like, except carrot.  haha... I always hate carrot ever since I was a kid, and I'm a rabbit (according to Chinese calender).  My favorite one was the juicy shiitake mushroom.

California Roll ($5.00)
Avocado, crabmeat and cucumber wrapped in rice, nori and masago

Normally I don't order California roll in Japanese restaurant.  But the California Roll at Tokyo Table was really good.  We actually ordered a second one.  I like how they only use little rice, but have lots of avocado and crabmeat for filling.

Spicy Tuna Roll ($5.50)
Spicy tuna and cucumber wrapped in rice, nori and topped with sesame seeds

Spicy tuna roll was pretty good.  I like the kind of spicy tuna roll with cucumber.  The crunchiness added more texture to the soft roll.  We also got the Spicy Tuna Crunch Roll ($7.00), which was spicy tuna roll topped with crunchy tempura crumbs.

All You Can Eat Shabu Shabu ($15.95/person)

Shabu Shabu was served with Chinese style two sided hot pot.  There were 5 of us, and we got two pots on the table.  We were seated in a booth, and the table was definitely too small for all the food.  It was really crowded and uncomfortable.  We even had to put some food and plates on the couch.

Rib-Eye Beef

Rib-Eye Beef was the only meat offered.  The meat was presented like flower on the plate.  It was pretty, but portion was sorta small.  But that's ok since it was all you can eat anyway.  I think we ordered about 12 plates of this.

Assorted Vegetable & Udon Noodles

Vegetable plate had cabbage, Ton-How (the green veggie), pumpkin, carrot, mushroom, tofu, and udon noodle.  They didn't give us bowls for udon noodle soup at the end though.  We ate so much meat that our soup was really oily so we didn't want to drink the soup anyway.

What a great deal for $15.95!!  Why don't they have this all you can eat deal in Irvine Tokyo Table?

  1. I think they only do it in Arcadia because lately their business hasn't been so great. I passed by the restaurant a couple times when I go shopping and there are never any people inside. Now that I see there is Shabu Shabu, I might go try it!

That night we went, their business was pretty good.
EVERY table had shabu shabu. I guess it was a good move for them. haha...

  2. We braved the mall 3 days before Christmas and had to buy a last min gift, walked past and saw the deal. Will try it next time we go, very good for current rainy cold nights.

Perfect for a cold rainy night.
    I think it's a really good deal.

  3. Ya, I probably will try it too. I don't really like their food, americanized Japanese food. They had nothing to stand out, to keep the customers.

It was the first time I went to Arcadia location.
But I actually liked the Americanized Japanese food at Irvine's Tokyo Table. haha...
Hope you'll enjoy the shabu shabu.
