We went back to Sango Sushi again. This time we tried dining in the restaurant. Even though the counter girl and helpers were Hispanic, we saw the Japanese chef in the kitchen.
Poki Bowl ($7.30)
Dr. P ordered Poki Bowl. It had salmon, tuna and squid mixing with vegetables on top of sushi rice. It was very tasty. We wished there were more seafood. But for the cheap price, it was good enough. As much as like Sango's poki bowl, we still think Tommy's Sushi has the best poki bowl in town.
Daily Special Chicken Dish ($5.00)
On Monday through Thursday, Sango offers one daily special dish for $5. On the day we went, it was a chicken dish. I don't remember the name of the dish, but it was grilled chicken topped with fried onion strings. It also came with salad, veggies, and rice. The chicken was very tender. It had a ponzu like sauce with lots of green onion in it. Pretty good with rice. Portion was big. I only ate half, and had the leftover for lunch the next day.
We like Sango a lot. Will definitely try more of their dishes.
