I was in the mood for prime rib, and found Lone Star Steakhouse & Saloon in Entertainment Book.  It's a Taxes themed steakhouse.  They only have 3 locations in California though.  One in Corona, one in Tustin, and the one we went to in Laguna Hills.

The lively restaurant had loud country music playing.  Our waitress told us that there would be a Taxes dancing show at 8pm.  But they were really busy that night, and the dance never happened.

Strawberry Lemonade ($2.99)

Dr. P ordered Strawberry Lemonade.  I asked him how come he always orders those girly drinks.  He said he ordered it for me.  Yeah right.  I think he just likes girly drinks, and he always use me as a cover-up.

Rolls

Our friendly waitress brought us some warm soft rolls.

Amarillo Cheese Fries ($6.99)
Steak fries smothered with melted Monterey Jack and cheddar cheeses, topped with bacon and served with Texas ranch dressing.

We got Amarillo Cheese Fries for appetizer.  Love the big fat fries with lots of melted cheese on top.  3 different dipping sauces came with it, ketchup, ranch, and Texas spicy ranch.  I like the spicy ranch sauce a lot.

Award Winning Lone Star Chili ($2.99)
Meaty and spicy, served piping-hot with chopped onions, shredded cheddar cheese and sliced jalapeno.

Dr. P ordered a cup of their Award Winning Lone Star Chili.  It was spicy and meaty as described, but it would taste so much better if it was actually "piping-hot" as stated on the menu.  Instead, it was just lukewarm.

Signature Lettuce Wedge
A cool, crisp wedge of iceberg lettuce smothered in rich, creamy bleu cheese and tomatoes.

The prime rib came with two sides.  For one of the sides, we picked Signature Lettuce Wedge.  The bleu cheese dressing was really yummy.  I like the salad much better than the chili.

Slow-Roasted Prime Rib (16 oz) ($21.49)
Prime Rib like you've never tasted before.  Slowly roasted, filled with incredible flavor, always tender, juicy and carved to order.

The Slow-Roasted Prime Rib was seasoned and cooked just right.  We ordered it medium.  It was juicy, tender, so soft.  The two of us could barely finish half of the 16 oz giant piece.  The garlic mashed potatoes on the side was really good as well.

Baby Back Ribs (Full Rack) ($18.49)
Our pork ribs are slow-cooked to tender perfection, basted with BBQ sauce and finished on the grill.

I couldn't resist Taxes style BBQ ribs when I saw it on the menu.  A full rack was HUGE!  But it was more bony than meaty.  I like the BBQ sauce a lot.  But wished the ribs had more meat.  I think next time I'm just gonna stick with prime rib and steak.  For the side, I ordered jumbo baked sweet potato.  It was good, but I think regular baked potato is better.  For sweet potato, I like fries better.

We like Lone Star's prime rib a lot.  The fries was really good, too.  Portion was huge.  We had enough leftover to eat for the next two days.  Service was very friendly.  Everyone was helpful and very polite.  We will return again.  Hopefully next time we can see the Texas dance show.
