Shepherd's Bread

My second loaf of bread from bread machine was Shepherd's Bread.

From my bread machine cookbook:  The way of constructing a dough for this Shepherd's Bread is known as the sponge dough method.  It is an old-fashioned technique used to create a bread with a more rustic texture and crumb, more irregular holes, a lightly more acidic flavor from developed fermentation, and a slightly thicker crust than bread made by the plain dough method.

Doesn't it look pretty?  And very professional!  haha....  I never knew making bread is THAT easy!  Love my bread machine.

  1. hahahhaha it was funny when I saw these pics, because I read your last post about the machine, and you said that you were surprised that you just made bread! hahaha looks really good!

    I'm sooooo bad at baking.
You know those cakes and muffins that come in a box, and all you have to do is add water and bake?
I can't even do those right.
So if even I can make bread, I think EVERYBODY can! haha...
