It was lunch day with my parents. Mom wanted to go have dim sum at East Gourmet Seafood Restaurant because she wants to go grocery shopping afterward in the same plaza. There were super busy during lunch hour.
魚丸 Fish Ball ($1.88)
All dim sums are $1.88. We started with an order of Fish Ball. The fish ball was soft and chewy. We like it.
小白菜 Bok Choy ($1.88)
Bok Choy with scallop. It wasn't bad, just cold. Probably had been sitting on the sim sum cart for awhile.
糯米包 Sticky Rice Bun ($1.88)
We got Sticky Rice Bun, which none of us had tried before. Sticky rice was inside what tasted like sui mai wrapper. The sticky rice was cooked with tiny shrimp and mushroom. Pretty tasty and quite filling.
豬耳朵 Pig Ear ($1.88)
Dad ordered Pig Ear. Those were too hard. They need to cook this a little longer. I like the sweet and sour pickled vegetable underneath the pig ear.
燒賣 Siu Mai ($1.88)
Siu Mai was alright. But just had to order it whenever we have dim sum.
鳳爪 Chicken Feet ($1.88)
Chicken Feet was soft and tasty.
牛百頁 Tripes ($1.88)
I like the tripes a lot. It was braised until really soft. Big pieces of radish underneath in the broth. A big bowl like this for $1.88 was a good price.
龍蝦伊麵 Lobster Noodle ($7.99)
They have a lobster noodle special for $7.99 from Monday to Friday during lunch hour. Every table had a plate of the lobster noodle. The lobster wasn't big, but still tasted great. The noodle was a bit oily though.
Food here was pretty decent. I liked their price a lot, especially now I live in Orange County.

Wow, $1.88 is so cheap for dim sum! The sticky rice bun looks interesting. I've never seen that before at dim sum. I'm amazed that the tripe bowl was only $1.88. It's usually a specialty item or at least a large at most dim sum spots. And $7.99 for Lobster noodles?? Yum!
ReplyDeleteYup, the price is such a bargain!
7.99 for the lobster noodles is a steal! Cheapest that I have seen so far. Arcadia's Full House has it for 8.90...still not cheaper than here!
ReplyDeleteThose Sticky Rice buns look very interesting. I too have never had them before :). You make me want to try this place.
Sam Woo here in Irvine charge about $20 for lobster noodles!
Yeah, those sticky rice buns are tasty, they taste just like the ones that are covered with a glass bowl but are easier to handle with a pair of chopsticks.
ReplyDeleteI will order the sticky rice buns again next time.
They're good!
