Schwan's Beef Shepherd's Pie

I found Schwan's free offer online, and quickly signed up to try a free frozen entree from them.  A few days after I signed up, I received a phone call from their delivery guy asking if I would be http://www.eileenlikestoeat.com on that day.  He told me he would deliver around noon.  But he didn't show up until 5:30pm.  But I'm not gonna complain too much because it was free anyway.


Schwan's Beef Shepherd's Pie ($9.99)

For the free offer, new customer can pick any $10 or less entree to try for free.  I picked Beef Shepherd's Pie.




This was how the frozen shepherd's pie looked like.  Baking time was a bit long... about 40 minutes or so.



The cooked pie looked good, smelt even better.



I thought it was good.  Dr. P thought it was really really good!  The mashed potatoes on the top layer was tasty.  The beef and veggie mixture would taste good with pasta, too.

It's pretty convenient to store couple of frozen entrees in the fridge.  Schwan's food's pretty good, but their delivery service could be better.  Hurry up and take advantage of the free offer.  Hope everybody will get some free food to try!

    do we have to pay for the tip or sales tax??? haha~ i have never made delivery before~

    No tip, no tax. Completely free.

    thanks Eileen, this is such a super good deal!
    I tried it and at first they always left $ 0.08 balance for me to pay (no matter $8.89 or $9.89 item I picked), so i contacted them and they said somehow their system couldn't get it right but feel free to order and it will be totally free as long as someone is there to receive the order!
    so i went ahead and when i got the confirmation, it is showing total of $0 of charge!
    now i am waiting for the food to be arriving, i ordered the Chicken pot pie, can't wait, thank you again! :)-

    Hi Eileen, I ordered this as soon as you posted on your blog. I got the e-mail confirmation stating $0.00. When I checked my credit card bill, they charged me $1.10! Be careful...

    You should call them and let them know.
    I didn't get charge for anything.
