Catching a Rattlesnake

I did 60 hours of internship at Inland Valley Humane Society this summer.  I worked 20 hours in the kennel, 20 hours in the animal hospital, and 20 hours of riding along with an animal control officer.  It was a little depressing working in the shelter because a lot of the animals were put to asleep.  But it was a very valuable experience.

I especially like the experience of riding along with an animal control officer.  It was just like the TV show, Animal Cops.  We got to answer many interesting calls.  On my first day of riding along with the animal control officer, we got a rattlesnake call.  A lady found a rattlesnake in her yard and called us.

Officer David Angelo said it was just a baby rattlesnake.  He did offered to let me try catching the rattlesnake.  But I rather just watch him do it.

It just seemed so easy when he did it. Even though it was a small baby rattlesnake, I still thought it was very dangerous.

Snake in a box!  We took him up to the mountain and released him.  Hopefully he'll have a good life in the wilds, and don't come back to people's http://www.eileenlikestoeat.com again.

There are so many cute dogs and cats in the shelter looking for a http://www.eileenlikestoeat.com.  If you are thinking about getting a pet, please consider to adopt rather than buying.

  1. woah... Eileen, you so should have taken up that offer ;) we'd have another reason to look up to you,, haha... beside being a food critic

    haha I'm not that brave.
And I don't think I'm a food critic. I can't write as well as a real food critic.
I just say "yum, it's good, I like it" or "gross, I don't like it". haha....
And it's all just my personal preference.

  2. Hi hi.. love your website. Good food plus good place to visit. You mentioned that you worked at kennel. Any puppy to be adopt recently? My dog just passed away few months ago. I wanna get a smaller puppy. Please let me know if there is anything good!

There are a lot of cute and great puppies looking for http://www.eileenlikestoeat.coms all the time.
But I can't really tell you what kind of puppies are there right now.
The shelter I worked at only keeps the animals there for a week.
If they don't find a http://www.eileenlikestoeat.com, they are put to asleep.
So I don't think the dogs I saw last time I was there are still there anymore.
You just have to go down to the shelter yourself to take a look.
Hopefully a lucky puppy will be an addition to your family.
