I have been wanting to try Tokyo Table for the longest time.  Then I found out Tokyo Table has happy hour from Wen's blog and Jack's blog.  Even better!

Happy hour is between 3~6pm.  We went on a Tuesday around 3:30pm.  I thought there would be more people at the happy hour.  But we were the only customers there.

To order from the happy hour menu, we had to sit at the bar area.  Our waitress was also the bartender.

Lychee Mojito ($4.00)

I ordered a Lychee Mojito.  Love the minty flavor with the lychee.

Watermelon Mojito ($4.00)

Dr. P got the Watermelon Mojito.  This was sweeter than the lychee one.  It was great.  But we both thought the lychee one was even better.

Crispy Chicken Wings ($2.95)

Crispy Chicken Wings were just alright.  Dr. P thought it was a bit dry.  I thought it was ok, but nothing too special about it.

Spicy Tuna Summer Roll ($2.95)

Spicy Tuna Summer Roll was like a mixture of Japanese and Vietnamese roll.  The roll was made with rice paper with rice noodle, avocado, lettuce, and spicy tuna.  It was very refreshing.  The spicy mayo was good.

Sweet Potato Fries ($3.95)

Sweet Potato Fries was addicting.  It was oily so I felt guilty that I couldn't stop eating those.

Spicy Tuna on Crispy Rice ($3.95)

We've had Spicy Tuna on Crispy Rice at many different places.  Tokyo Table's version was not the best, but still quite good.  Their rice was really crispy.  I actually preferred them not so crunchy.

Albacore Tuna on Crispy Rice ($3.95)

Albacore Tuna on Crispy Rice was one of the two best dishes.  The sightly cooked albacore tuna tasted really fresh.  The crispy rice was not overly crispy like the spicy tuna one.  Jalapeno and ponzu sauce made the sushi so tasty.

Beef Tataki on Balsamic Sushi ($3.95)

Beef Tataki on Balsamic Sushi was another of my favorite dish.  The beef was tender.  The fried onion on top was great  Love the balsamic sauce.  Delicious!

Tokyo Table can be expensive for dinner.  But going for happy hour is a great bargain.  We like both the drink and the food a lot.  Definitely will come back again for an afternoon leisure.

  1. I agree with you. Do they have sushi pizza at happy hour? I think that one is quite good too. :)

Nope, sushi pizza is not on the happy hour menu.
That's an item I want to try, too.

  3. Sushi pizza is really good! For really good sweet potatoes fries - not greasy - try Marmalade - it's in the district!

Now I have two more things to try... sushi pizza and sweet potato fries from Marmalade.
    Thanks Cindy!
