Pablo's Beach Wedding

On August 15, we went to Dr. P's friend, Pablo's wedding at Crystal Cove Beach.  Pablo and his wife live in East Coast.  But they love California and visit here often.  They like the sun and ocean so much that they wanted to have the wedding on the beach in California.

It was the first time we attended a beach wedding.  I wore high heels and Dr. P wore dressed shoes.  It was really hard to walk on the beach.  We should've done what everybody else did, wore flip flops or sandals.  Even the groom wore sandals!

Congratulation to Pablo!

After the wedding ceremony, catering company people set up the reception tables right on the sandy beach.  The live band played relaxing beach music.

Centerpiece with seashells and sand.  Pretty!

A Itlian Beach Party menu was served.

Dinner was served buffet style.  It was a small buffet, but everything was tasty.

Salad with goat cheese (yum!), prime rib, salmon with mango salsa, grilled veggies, and asparagus with orzo.  Dr. P and I went back for second plate, while everyone else at our table barely ate anything....

Instead of wedding cake, cupcakes was the dessert.  The chocolate cupcake was super good, but the raspberry tasted too artificial and kinda gross.  We went back for another chocolate cupcake, and found out it was all gone in like 5 minutes!

That was a really fun wedding party.  And....  I really need to get on a diet!

  2. What a coincidence! I just went to a wedding in a ranch yesterday. I was one of the few wearing high heel shoes. The bride wore flat sandals and the groom wore flip flops......

hahahaha.... now I know if I go to a wedding at a beach or a ranch, wear flip flops!
