Dr. P and I was hungry for lunch, but I had only one thing in mind.... Yogurtland.  My sister told me about the newly opened Yogurtland in Arcadia.  Since we were planning to go there after lunch, we decided just to dine in the same plaza.  Or more precisely, the next plaza.

We decided on Phoenix Food Boutique because Dr. P has never been there before.  The Arcadia branch isn't big, but it was bright and clean.

凍鴛鴦 Iced Milk Tea & Coffee ($2.75) / 招牌雜果西米露 Tapioca Mixed Fruit ($3.25)

Dr. P wanted to get an iced coffee, but I suggested him to try the Cantonese style Iced Milke Tea and Coffee.  This used to be my favorite drink after clubbing.  I got the Tapioca Mixed Fruit.  Love it!  I always get this one when I go to Phoenix.

紅燒牛腩麵 Braised Beef Stew Noodle Soup ($5.50)

We ordered one noodle and one rice to share.  Dr. P picked the Braised Beef Stew Noodle Soup.  The beef was really tender.  The noodle was the Cantonese thin and yellow kind.  The soup was on the lighter side.  It wasn't too bad, but we both prefer the Taiwanese style beef noodle soup more.

楊州炒飯 Yeung Chow Fried Rice ($6.45)

I picked Yeung Chow Fried Rice, not a very good choice.  Portion was big, but this fried rice had no taste at all.  It just tasted like white rice mixed with some egg, BBQ pork, shrimp, and green onion.  Did the chef forgot to add salt?

Food at Phoenix was alright, but it did get us really full, and we still had a big box of fried rice to take http://www.eileenlikestoeat.com.  Now, time for Yogurtland~~~~

  1. I have to agree with you on the food- it is okay but not excellent! Their tapioca items are pretty good :). But for a lunch I would pick May Mei over this place. Bigger portions and more tasty.

I tried Pheonix in Alhambra couple years ago.
It was the hot dishes with rice kind of food.
I remember the food was pretty good there.
Have you been to that Pheonix?

    真可惜Irvine的沒有了
    下次再去鳳城一定試試海南雞飯

Too bad they closed the Irvine branch.
Or I'll go get some fruit tapioca right now.
