Yesterday was my brother's birthday.  We went to Seafood Village to have "crabby" lunch to celebrate.  haha....


避風塘特式炒蟹 House Special Crab ($8.99/lb) ($26.97)

House Special Crab is always tasty.  But the price has increased!  In December, it was $4.99/lb.  In February, it was $5.99/lb.  Now in April, it's $8.99/lb.  I guess it's cheaper to eat crab in winter.  My brother really likes the garlicky crab.  We finished all 3 lbs of it.



梅菜扣肉 Pork with Preserved Vegetable ($5.29)

We always liked Pork with Preserved Vegetable from Seafood Village because the pork belly had just the right amount of lean meat and fat.  But yesterday the pork was ALL fat.  The flavor was still great.  Just wished there were less fat on the meat.


紅棗雲耳蒸走地雞 Steamed Chicken with Mushroom & Red Date ($6.89)

I liked the flavor of date, gogi berry, and Chinese rice wine in this steamed chicken dish.  The chicken was meatier than last time.


清蒸游水立魚 Steamed Fresh Tilapia ($6.89)

Steamed Fresh Tilapia was pretty good.  The fish was really soft, and the sauce was good with rice.


蠔油芥蘭 Chinese Broccoli with Oyster Sauce ($4.59)

Chinese Broccoli with Oyster Sauce was a bit too oily.  We requested to have the oyster sauce on the side.  We all thought the oyster sauce was too salty, and liked the Chinese broccoli without it better.



Mom and I like Seafood Village's food.  It was my brother's first time there, and he liked it, too.  But my sister didn't like it.  She thought the food was oily, and in general she just doesn't like oily Chinese food that much.  The crab is so expensive now.  Lunch cost about twice as much as it did in winter time.  We probably won't be back for this season then.

After lunch, it's cake time....
