I found Paul's Pantry from Groupon. Bought a $20 Groupon for $10 because breakfast is Dr. P's favorite meal, I thought he would love to try a new breakfast joint.

We woke up really late that day, and came to the restaurant around 1pm. By that time the restaurant was pretty empty. I think they close at 2pm. But I can imagine this place to be really busy on a weekend morning.

It was a sunny day. We sat on the nice patio to enjoy our brunch. It felt nice to sit outdoor, but I didn't like it how the other customers were smoking on the patio. We were glad they left shortly after we sat down.

Coffee ($2.40)

Gotta start brunch with two cups of coffee. All of their mugs have different ads on them. Pretty smart way to make some extra money, yeah?

Outrageous Cheese Omelettes - The Works (10.95)
All Omelettes are skillet prepared with Three Eggs and include 2 buttermilk Pancakes or Hash Browns and Toast. Hash Browns may be substituted with Sliced Tomato, Fruit Cup or Cottage Cheese. You may substitute the Toast for our famous Cinnamon Roll.

I ordered the combination omelette with everything. It is called The Works. Lots of veggies, meats, cheese, and even chili. It was great, but I thought this was more like scrambled egg rather than an omelette.

Buttermilk Pancake

For my side, I asked for Buttermilk Pancake. Super fluffy and soft pancake. It was soooo good.

Bone-In Ham & Eggs ($10.95)

Dr. P ordered Bone-In Ham & Eggs. Eggs were cooked perfectly. Ham was pretty tasty. Hash Brown was very buttery. I know it probably had a lot of calories, but it tasted good.

Cinnamon Roll

Dr. P also substituted his toasts for their famous Cinnamon Roll. It was good, but very very sweet. It was like the first 3 bites were really good, but after that my teeth started hurting because it was so sweet. We both liked the pancake better.

Paul's Pantry is a nice breakfast joint. It was very relaxing sitting on the patio having brunch. No fancy decor, waitresses seemed like they've been working there for ages, your typical American breakfast menu, and a breakfast place we like.

  1. decent old school place and decent food. kinda pricey though. I miss my old grounds at Rae's in Santa Monica.
