I have a $40 Groupon from Versai The Wine Bar that was about to expire.  I don't think I've ever been to a wine bar before.  We thought it would be fun to stop by to have a little pre-dinner drinks.

The inside decor was beautiful!  We grabbed two seats at the inside long table.  The place filled up fairly quick.

They also have a nice outdoor patio, as well as a restaurant that serves different food as the wine bar.

Cabernet Sauvignon, 2007 Sledgehammer, North Coast, CA ($12.00) /
Chardonnay, 2009 Terra Andina, D.O. Valle Central, Chile ($8.00)

Dr. P ordered a Cabernet Sauvignon, and got me a glass of Chardonnay.  Both wines were pretty good.  Dr. P said their price is on the higher side though.

Versai Toast ($10.00)
Signature Flat thin whole-wheat baked with fresh herbs, extra virgin olive oil, Sliced Pecorino cheese & smoked soft cheese, turkey bacon, sun-dried tomatoes and onion crispies.

A lot of people ordered Versai Toast, so did we.  The bread was quite oily.  Instead of "drizzle" olive oil on the toast, it felt more like they soak the whole toast in oil.  We saw other people's toast had little bits of red thing on it.  I assumed it was sun-dried tomatoes as stated on the menu, but we didn't get any.  Oh well, this Versai Toast was not good at all.

Loli Pop Lamb ($12.00)
New Zealand baby rack (Three ribs), Blackened, mixed greens & potato balls.

We were disappointed about the toast.  But The Loli Pop Lamb was really good.  The lamb was very tender, and the way they seasoned it was so tasty.  Loved this dish!  Salad and potato were both pretty good, too.

There was a country singer performing last night.  Gotta take a picture in case he becomes famous in the future. haha...

We were surprised when we got the bill.  It was happy hour?  Nobody told us about happy hour.  And there wasn't any happy hour menu, either.  But guess what?  We could not use Groupon with happy hour discount.

So we got a new bill with regular price so we could use the $40 Groupon.  Pretty much happy hour is about 40% off the regular price.  That's a pretty good deal.

We like this cute little wine bar.  But Yorba Linda is kinda far.  Wish we have a wine bar like this near us.
