I saw this new restaurant, Deemer's American Grill, after doing grocery shopping at Henry's Market in the same shopping plaza.  Went online to see what kind of food they serve after I got http://www.eileenlikestoeat.com.  It is one of those gourmet hamburger places.  The burgers look good on the menu.  It's always fun to try a new restaurant.  So Dr. P and I had a burger date on Friday night.

Deemer's is not a big place.  There are a few tables inside, and more tables on the covered patio.

This place is the "order at the counter" kind of restaurant.  I like it because we save money on tips.  The guy at the counter was very friendly and helpful.

We ordered what we wanted, paid, found a table to sit down, and someone brought the food to our table when it was ready.

Hey they have one of those buy 10 burgers get 1 free reward stamp card.  haha.... just like boba places.

Pyramid Hefeweizen ($3.50)

Dr. P ordered a bottle of Pyramid Hefeweizen.  The guy at the counter poured the beer into a glass for him.  Dr. P said the beer went perfectly with his burger.

Hickory Premier Burger ($7.50)
Cheddar cheese, smoked bacon, crisp onions, beefsteak tomato, iceberg lettuce, & hickory BBQ sauce.

Dr. P ordered Hickory Premier Burger.  He loves Hickory Burger from Apple Pan, and was hoping for something similar.  Well, this Hickory Burger tasted completely different, but also very very good.

The lettuce and tomato were very fresh.  100% certified Angus beef patty was cooked to a perfect medium, very juicy.  Bacon and onion rings were crunchy, but not oily at all.  The Hickory BBQ sauce had a hint of sweetness to balance the saltiness of the bacon.  The grilled buns were soft and fluffy.  This was one good burger.  This was a very manly burger though, I thought.  Dr. P loved it.  I like it too, but personally I prefer something not as heavy.

Napa Premier Burger ($7.50)
Fresh goat cheese, roma tomatoes, red onion, baby spinach, & basil pesto aioli.

I ordered Napa Premier Burger becuase I LOVE goat cheese.  This is now my favorite burger of all time!

I love the combination of spinach, tomato, caramelized red onion, and soft goat cheese.  I didn't really taste the basil  pesto aioli.  I thought the sauce was more like a balsamic vinaigrette kind of sauce.  This burger tasted soooo fresh and light.  Just love it!

Onion Ring ($3.25)

We also got a side of Onion Ring.  The onion ring had crunchy beer batter on the outside, and was very soft and sweet on the inside.  It wasn't oily at all.  Really good.

We love this new found burger joint.  We are going back to try all the burgers on their menu, oh and working toward that free burger, too.  haha....

  1. This place is more gourmet than my all time favorite burger which is the hickory burger at apple pan. I like both the burgers here. Eileen's was a pleasant surprise... very good flavor and the burger was juicy cooked perfect medium. We'll def'ly be back!

I already know what I want to try next time. You?

  2. I love onion rings but have never tried beer-battered like the ones shown in your photos....they look especially good!

I read reviews that their fries is also very good.
Going to try that next time.
