My New Haircut

My hair was getting way too long.  When that happens, my hair falls out like crazy.  I do like having long hair.  But I hate it when my hair was everywhere on the floor.  Time for a haircut.

This was my "before" picture.  My hair was long, messy, dry, and always tangled.

I saw this page in a Japanese magazine.  This is it!  This is the haircut I want.

I had a coupon for a free haircut from Supercuts right next to our house.  Yeah, I know it's Supercuts.  But it was free.  So end result: my hair was nothing like the picture.  All that pretty layers in the picture, nope, I didn't get any of that.  The lady who cut my hair told me I should use mousse to get the layer and wave effect.  She only took 15 minutes to cut my hair.  Hmmm... now I can understand why all the customers there were men and kids.  But I'm not complaining since it's free anyway.

By the way, I didn't see ANYONE tip.  But I felt bad and still tipped my stylist $3 for the original price $15 haircut.  Are you supposed to tip at Supercuts?

  5. Supercuts is the same everywhere. I had my first haircut with Supercuts when I was going to college in Ohio, it was terrible, but it was really cheap (7 dollars). The lady who cut my hair said, "You will not see layers because you Asian people get super fine hair." I think your haircut is way better than mine :)

That was a stupid comment from the hair lady.
Awww... I'm sorry that happens to you.
Now I feel kinda lucky because I went to a slightly better Supercuts. haha...

  6. hahahahha, i had a guy friend who went to supercut and he literally got a 馬桶蓋頭 and he begged me to re-cut his hair afterward.
not to upset u but u now got a 小阿姨頭, can't really tell if u had layers or not from the pic but it's not a bad hair cut.
short hair is so much easier to manage, finish washing in seconds

Yeah I thought my hair looks kinda like 小阿姨 haha.
But it's really easy to manage, and super fast to wash and dry now.

  7. I don't think your long hair is messy, dry~ I love it! Although the short is as good as the long one.

You can try Brazilian straight when your hair grow back.

You noticed I have wavy hair? haha...

  8. Re: The long hair--how did you get it to look that way? Was it a body wave, or some kind of a perm when it was shorter and then you just let it grow out?

Short hair is a *great* change and shows off another side of your personality! You're sooo cute in sharing this with your readers : )

Nope, no body wave and no perm.
Just my natural dry wavy hair that looked and felt like hay. haha...
I share a lot of things here.. haha...
This blog is sorta like my personal diary, too.
I like to write down what's going on in my life.
It's always fun to go back to read old memory. ;-)

  9. Your hair looks very nice---it looks so much easier to take care of than your long-style. With enough gel/mousse/know-how you could make it look like the photo for special occasions. Even though they rush through their haircuts I think it was right to tip the haircutter---especially with a coupon. Even at eateries when I use free coupons I make sure to tip the server the same amount that I would if I were paying full price.

    Thank you, Rich!
Us, too! We always tip the servers according to the original amount before the coupons.
I thought people always tip hair stylist. But nobody did at Supercuts.
    That was really strange.

What is the difference between Japanese straight perm and Brazilian blow out?
I need a flat iron when I grow my hair out again. haha...
