[Bread Machine] Roasted Garlic and Dry Jack Bread

I wanted to try the Zojirushi Bread Machine again.  This time I used the 2 lb loaf bread machine properly and made a 2 lb loaf bread.

Roasted Garlic and Dry Jack Bread

Wow!  The loaf turned out to look so perfect!  The side was crunchy, and the top was so soft and fluffy!

I made this loaf with 1 head of roasted garlic, 1.5 cup water, 4 cups of bread flour, 2/3 cup Jack cheese, 1 tablespoon gluten, 2.5 teaspoon salt, and 1 tablespoon SAF yeast.  The bread smelt soooooo good when it was baking in the bread machine.  You can't really see any garlic nor cheese in the bread when it's done, but you can definitely taste the ingredients.  This savory bread was great to make ham and cheese sandwich with, and it was great to eat it just by itself, too.

I have been making sandwich bread so far with bread machine.  Now I'm pretty comfortable with the machine.  Maybe try a more complicated pastry/cake next time?

  1. The bread looks yummy. I'm still researching on bread machines. I've read that the zoji bread machine sometimes bakes unevenly. And also ppl have complained that the center of the bread comes out doughy. Have you experienced any of this?

I only made 2 loaves with Zoji bread machine so far.
The first time I only added enough ingredient for 1.5 lbs.
Since the machine was meant to make 2 lbs bread, it didn't turn out well.
But the 2nd time I made a 2 lbs bread, it was perfect.
Since I only used it 2 times, I can't really tell you if it'll have the problems you mentioned.
My sister made a lot of things with that machine.
She said everything was great and she never had problem.
