We went to puppy kindergarten last night.  It was the first class meeting with no puppies, just lesson for the owners.  The class was held at Mission Viejo High School.  After the class, we found this nearby restaurant with Entertainment Book coupon for a quick Thai dinner.  It was Monday night, and the restaurant was full with people waiting.  The food must be good.  We Diho Siam was a Thai restaurant, but they actually have two menus, Thai menu and Chinese menu.  We didn't even bother to look at the Chinese menu because we were in the mood for Thai.

Tom Yum (Thai Hot & Sour Soup) Chicken ($8.95)

The puppy class was outdoor.  We both wanted hot soup after sitting in the cold for one hour.  Tom Yum Chicken was not as spicy nor as sour as we like it.  It was actually quite sweet.  We thought the flavor was catered to the Caucasian customers in this area.  A bowl of hot soup was still good for a cold winter night though.

Green Jungle Curry (Gaeng Kaew Waen) Chicken ($8.95)
Green curry cooked in coconut milk with Thai basil and assorted vegetables

I tasted a lot of sweet coconut milk in the Green Jungle curry Chicken.  I like the flavor of the curry, but thought the chicken was a bit overcooked.  I like how there were a lot of vegetables in the curry.  Dr. P really liked the curry.  He had two bowls of rice just with the green curry.

Chillies and Thai Basil (Pad Kee Mao) Beef ($8.95)
Sauteed with fresh ground chillies, garlic, onions and Thai basil

Chillies and Thai Basil Beef was salty, but very tasty with rice.  The beef was very tender.  Dr. P should like his lunch bento with this dish today.  :-)

Diho Siam was alright.  We thought the food was ok good, but nothing too special about it.  We wouldn't go out of our way to come here to eat, but wouldn't mind returning again if we have a coupon.
