The original plan for night 2 was going to our favorite buffet at M Resort. Well, we spent a little too much time at the outlet, and wasn't able to make it to the buffet before their closing time at 9pm. So we called our back-up plan buffet, Wicked Spoon. They close at 10pm, and we made it there around 9:30pm. The told us the buffet will stop serving food at 10pm, but we could grab anything we want to our table, and eat as long as we want to. Sounded good to us. So we paid our $35/person fee and pigged out.

Bottle of Wine ($20.00)

They had a $20 bottle of wine promotion. It was a good deal! Now let's see what we ate:

They had bone marrow! The cook-to-order mussels were delicious.

Food at Wicked Spoon was good. Some dishes were really really good, yet some were just not to our taste. Love the beautiful presentations. But there weren't much seafood. No mountains of crab legs and shrimp, no oyster, not even sushi. If you don't really care about seafood, then this would be a great buffet to visit. But we love seafood (and free alcohol... well not exactly free but included with the buffet). So we still think M Resort's buffet is better. But it was really fun trying a new place though so we were pretty happy about that. (And Dr. P was really happy seeing all the hot girls dressing in barely-anything in The Cosmopolitan!!)

  3. How does M's buffet compare to the Wynn Buffet? Last time I had that two years ago, it was awesome for any price ($35 as well)

I went to Vegas in April and had both Yama Sushi and Makino on two consecutive days (stomach kaboom)...Makino is ok (two locations, went to the one west of the strip), but definitely would recommend you try Yama!

We didn't like Wynn Buffet at all.
Maybe it was because we went for lunch?
We thought the food was just alright,
and didn't understand what all the hype was about.
M buffet had amazingly good seafood.
And it comes with wine and beer!!
Makino just opened one in Irvine.
I'm planning to go try it soon.
Will definitely put Yama on my Vegas to eat list for our next trip.
