[Henderson] [American] Omelet House

Dr. P found Omelet House by asking our hotel staff where is a good breakfast place in Henderson.

It is an old school diner sort of restaurant. Definitely popular with the locals. We love finding places like this when we travel.

They have a "Monster Slayers" challange. If you can finish a 12-eggs omelet or a 5-lb (? I think) burger, you get your picture posted on the wall, and hope that you won't get a heart attack after that.

30+ omelets to choose from.

Too bad we were on a budget. Otherwise I would LOVE to try #33 1/2 "Flatlanders Special"! LOL!!

Homemade Pumpkin Nut Bread

Breakfast comes with your choice of bread or toast. Their Pumpkin Nut Bread tasted like it was made by a lovely grandma. Love it!

Homemade Corned Beef Hash & Eggs ($9.89)

Dr. P ordered Corned Beef Hash & Eggs. I had a few bites, and thought it was a bit salty. Dr. p liked it a lot though.

"The Loch-Ness Monster" Omelet ($9.99)
Gulf shrimp, avocado, and cheddar cheese - No pictures, please!

I ordered The Loch-Ness Monster Omelet.

There must be like 50 shrimps in this giant omelet! They seriously gave you a lot. The omelet was delicious. But of course I couldn't finish it. Too bad we couldn't take it to-go, either.

We like this place a lot. Only wish it is closer to home....

  1. My favorvite breakfast place in Henderson. I believe the owner used to work for Thomas Keller's French Laundry restaurant.

    This place looks awesome!
Next time we return to Westin (hopefully soon), will definitely visit!
    Thanks for the recommendation.

  2. why couldn't you take it to go?

Because we don't have a fridge.
Food would definitely go bad in Vegas super hot weather.
