When my parents like a restaurant, they would just keep on going so very often, until one day they kind of get tired of the same old food, then they'll try to find their next favorite restaurant.  Look You Fan Dim happens to be their favorite restaurant at the moment.


是日例湯 Soup of the Day

We went back to try their lunch special.  Lunch special is offered between 10am to 5pm, and soup and rice are free.




What was in the soup?  Artichoke?


法式牛柳 Sirloin Steak French Style ($6.50)

First thing we noticed about the lunch special was that portion is much much smaller.  All dishes are about $1 to $2 cheaper than the dinner price, but the portion was about 1/2 of the dinner serving.  Sirloin Steak French Style didn't taste as good as the beef loc lac I had at other places.  It just tasted like steak cube with black pepper sauce with lots of onion.  It was still pretty good with rice though.


梅菜扣肉 Preserved Vegetable with Pork ($5.50)

Preserved Vegetable with Pork was our favorite dish from last time we ate here.  Again, portion was only 1/2 of the one we had before.  But the meat was just as delicious.  Gotta love pork fat!


燒味雙拼 Double BBQ Delicacy ($6.50)

Double BBQ Delicacy was BBQ pork and duck.  And no, we didn't get to choose the BBQ meat.  This dish was just ok.  Of course the BBQ didn't taste as good as BBQ restaurant such as Sam Woo.


蠔油芥蘭 Chinese Broccoli w/ Oyster Sauce ($4.50)

Chinese Broccoli w/ Oyster Sauce was good.  As long as the veggie's fresh, it'll taste good.


招牌炒麵 House Special Chow Mein ($7.00)

House Special Chow Mein had lots of seafood in it.  Shrimp, fish, even scallop.  It also had chicken and bean sprout.  I like the Cantonese style thin noodle.

The food was great.  We were full and had lots of leftover to take http://www.eileenlikestoeat.com.  But I still don't think lunch special is a good value.  You only pay $1 or $2 more, but get twice as much food for dinner.  I think lunch special is good for 1 or 2 people.  But for a big family meal, dinner is a better choice.
