Do you guys have credit cards that accumulate points that you can exchange for things? Whenever I get enough points, what do I get? Restaurant gift cards of course. I got a $50 Cheesecake Factory GC because my mom loves Cheesecake Factory. So one night when dad went out with his friends for dinner, mom said with a big smile, "I don't need to cook tonight. Let's go to Cheesecake Factory!"

Chopped Salad ($9.95)
A Delicious Blend of Chopped Romaine Lettuce, Grilled Chicken, Tomato, Avocado, Corn, Bacon, Blue Cheese and Apple with our House Vinaigrette
Cheesecake Factory has a HUGE menu. There are just too many things to choose from, so somehow I always end up ordering the same thing every time. Chopped Salad is my favorite salad. Mom never tried it before. My first bite was so sour. At first I thought it was the vinaigrette, then I realized it was the green apple. Besides the sour green apple, everything in this salad was just delicious. Mom really likes the salad, too.
Bistro Shrimp Pasta ($16.95)
Crispy Battered Shrimp, Fresh Mushrooms, Fresh Tomato and Arugula Tossed with Spaghettini and a Delicious Basil-Garlic-Lemon Cream Sauce
Bistro Shrimp Pasta WAS my favorite dish from Cheesecake Factory. Actually there were about 7 other dishes I wanted to try. I couldn't decided so just ordered the same old Bistro Shrimp Pasta again. But this time it wasn't so good. The shrimp was burnt and tasted bitter. The sauce was really oily. I think I'm about done with this dish. No more!
Steak Diane and Herb Crusted Salmon ($19.95)
Served with mashed potatoes
Mom got the Factory Combination of Steak Diane and Herb Crusted Salmon. The mashed potatoes was the BEST ever! It still had chunks of potatoes, but so creamy too.

Medallions of Beef Steak Covered with Black Peppercorns and a Rich Mushroom Wine Sauce
Steak Diane was cubed steak cooked in a super delicious mushroom wine sauce. Lots of black pepper. Really really good.
Herb Crusted Salmon
Fresh Salmon with a Delicious Lemon Sauce and Asparagus
We thought the steak was great, but the Herb Crusted Salmon was even better! The salmon was sooooooo soft. The lemon sauce was yummy. Love the flavor of all the herbs, too! Mom kept on saying next time she wants to order this dish again. I think I am going to as well.
Pineapple Upside Down Cheesecake ($6.75)
We tried the special Pineapple Upside Down Cheesecake, which isn't on the menu. A piece of original cheesecake between the pineapple upside down cake. OMG this was just too good. I always thought a whole piece of cheesecake was too heavy. But with the pineapple upside down, it wasn't too heavy. I could finish this whole piece by myself! But mom thought it was too sweet for her taste though.
Thanks to American Express, after applying the $50 GC, dinner was only $8.56! I already know what I am going to order next time, Chopped Salad, Steak + Salmon combo, and Pineapple Upside Down Cheesecake! Who's taking me to Cheesecake Factory? haha....
After our dinner, we walked around Arcadia Mall. The mall now has an outdoor shopping area and it was so nice. There were tons of seating area where people can rest and look at the beautiful mountain view. Mom and I sat here for a bit just enjoying the breeze and the view. Doesn't my mom look happy? ^^

Maybe I'm weird, I actually like the frozen Cheesecake Factory cheesecake that can be bought at Costco. The cheesecake in the restaurant is too "soft" to me :P

I like the frozen one from Costco too.
But I still think the fresh made one from the restaurant tastes better.
Well, it's a lot more expensive though.
I was there last week too, can't say no to their bread and YES, chopped Salad is my fav too! Good Choice~

have you tried the Cheesecake factory happy hour? It is from 4 to 6pm and the chop salad is in individual size and price is half of it. For the happy hour, it is self-seated at the bar area and have the bar special. Thomas and I love it a lot!! It is more afforable and also managable portion.
