Dr. Park and his brother planned to watch Ultimate Fighting Championship on Pay-Per-View that night.  So I suggested that we go get pizza.  Flipping through my Entertainment Book, we decided to try Tomato Pie on Melrose Ave with the 50% off coupon.

This pizza joint is right accross the street from Fairfax High School.  I can picture groups of high school teenagers coming here to hang out and have a snack after school.  According to their menu, "Tomato Pie brings you the classic East Coast flavor that New York Pizza was founded on."  Their dough is made with specially formulated water and high protein flour resulting in a crispy New York style crust.  They only use 100% whole milk mozzarella, freshest prodce and top quality meat.  They also simmer their own tomato sauces daily.

Inside the restaurant, they were pretty busy.  Their tiny space was full.  After ordering, we had to wait for about 15 minutes as they freshly baked our pizza.

Deluxe Pizza (Large) ($16.00)

Dr. Park picked the Deluxe Pizza.  It had pepperoni, sausage, ham, red onion, bell pepper, mushroom and black olive.  The pizza was made fresh, and it tasted fresh.  The crust was a perfect thickness.  This was one tasty pizza.  After our 50% off coupon, it only cost $8.00.  What a bargain!  Three of us only managed to finish half of the pizza.

Hot Wings ($3.50)

Dr. Park also ordered hot wings.  There were six wings in one order.  The wings were baked, not fried, and coated with delicious hot sauce.  They were really good.  But I think I had similar hot wings from Costco (those frozen bags of chicken wings).

Koka-Kora

Dr. Park got a can of "Koka Kora".  When I first saw the can, I thought it was a bootleg Coca Cola.  Then I read on the can "Olympic Games Collector Series".  Koka-Kora is Coca-Cola in Russian.

Yes, we had more wine at http://www.eileenlikestoeat.com.  Wine and pizza and hot wings.  Yum!  Plus a whole afternoon of wine tasting.  No wonder I passed out about 10 minutes after UFC started.

    Costco
