I have been craving for Ay-Chung Flour-Rice Noodle. Original plan was going to New Capital for dim sum, then get take-out from Ay-Chung in the same plaza. Even though plan changed (see previous post), I still wanted Ay-Chung after dim sum.
阿宗麵線 House Special Thicken Soup Thin Noodle ($4.60)
I wanted it so bad that I didn't want to get it for to-go anymore. I just wanted to have it NOW! Their House Special Thicken Soup Thin Noodle with intestine is the best! I always add their special "tiger" chili sauce in my noodle. The chili sauce wasn't as spicy as before though. Dr. P was too full from dim sum, so I finished this whole bowl by myself!
紅豆牛奶冰 Red Bean Milk Shave Ice
Dr. P felt like having shave ice. The counter lady said Red Bean Milk one is the most popular one. It was pretty good. Red bean and milk is always a good combination.
排骨飯 Pork Chop Rice
We got a Pork Chop Rice for to-go. They put the pork chop and an egg roll separately in a paper bag. The pork chop was thick, and pretty good. It was a little bit oily though.
The rice had meat sauce over it. It also came with celery + carrot, pickled vegetable and half of an egg. I like their pickled vegetable. Dr. P like their pork chop rice. But I still like their thin noodle the best.
How come the Irvine location closed down? We need to have an Ay-Chung here in Orange County, too!

So how does the inter-national but intraracial couple work?
ReplyDeleteDoes Dr. P like Taiwanese food or do you like Korean food more?
Whose had more influence on the other person's taste bud??? Who's winning? Korean vs. Taiwanese The Show Down!!!
Taiwanese definitely won! haha....
I think Dr. P likes Taiwanese food more than Korean food now.
I always like Korean food, but still, Taiwanese food is the best!
That was fanny one Joanna's post, hahaha.... getting know about the Eillen's life from someone. I'm new here and like this blog very much !!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, DayTrader! ^^
Taiwanese side wins on the food, korean side wins at http://www.eileenlikestoeat.com!! :)
ReplyDeleteTaiwanese side wins ALL THE WAY!
Mmm..the house special thin noodles look so good! I have to add it to my list of places to eat at next time.
ReplyDeleteThe one at Taiwan is still a tad better.
But I'm really glad we have the option here in LA.
Eileen,
ReplyDeleteGroupon is offering Fraiche $25 for $55 worth of food. I though you enjoyed this restaurant last time. Here is the link so you can buy it or not to go on a date with Mr.Park again :)

ReplyDelete他們剛開張的時候生意比較好
現在就普普通通
比不上台灣阿宗好吃而且價錢在這裡也貴啊
真想念台灣的阿宗麵線
I also miss the Ay Chung in Taiwan. So cheap and yet so good. I haven't been back in 15 years :-(
ReplyDeleteI haven't been back for almost 10 years.
I miss Taiwan!
