NCL Mexican Riviera Cruise Day 7: Versailles Main Restaurant Lunch

Breakfast was really disappointing.  We didn't expect too much for lunch, either.

Got the beef and chicken empanada with onion marmalade as appetizer.

It was alright... a bit dry.

Cooking Light Thai Shrimp Bisque

The soup was pretty good.

Assorted Garden Greens

Salad was great.  Salad was probably their best dish.  All the salad we had on the cruise was quite good.  Carrots, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, sweet corn with some kind of ginger dressing.

Cooking Light Churrasco Flank Steak

Flank steak with Argentinean Chimichum sauce was delicious.  It was very garlicky but so tasty.

Vegetarian Roasted Portobello Napoleon

I ordered the vegetarian dish because I wanted to have portobello mushroom.  It was filled with layers of Goat cheese and bell peppers.  I like goat cheese, but this dish just had way too much goat cheese.  The amount was almost like a whole tub of goat cheese.  I couldn't finish it.

Singapore Chicken Noodle Salad

I really don't know why this salad is called "Singapore" salad.  It was just glass noodle with ground chicken, carrot, cucumber, roasted peanuts, cilantro, and spring onion.  It was ok, but since I was craving Asian flavor, I liked it.

Chilled Coconut Rice Pudding

I don't like rice pudding.  Rice is supposed to be eaten with salty dishes in my opinion.  So I don't like mushy rice in sweet coconut milk.  Dr. P enjoyed it though.

Cooking Light Ricotta Cheesecake

Ricotta cheesecake with berries was good.  But we still thought Blue Lagoon had better cheesecake.

Lunch was alright.  Definitely better than breakfast.  We were hoping the last night's dinner would be spectacular.
