I saw the ad for Subway's new chicken flatbread sandwich.  The picture looks so good.  The description on their website said "No passport necessary for this Tuscan tastebud getaway. Our Chicken Florentine is filled with tender, juicy chicken, olives, tomatoes, Tuscan spices and melted cheese, all topped off with our creamy spinach artichoke spread. Act fast as this limited time sandwich creation won’t last forever."  Whoever wrote that did a really good job.  Because after reading that, I had to have one.

The size of the flatbread sandwich is about a 6" sub.  Just like all the Subway sandwiches, you can choose any veggies and sauces you want add to it.  But no sauce is needed because it already had the creamy spinach artichoke spread.

The chicken was very flavorful and tender.  The flatbread tasted better than the regular bread.  It was kinda like pita bread.  The spinach artichoke spread was the star ingredient that made this sandwich especially good.

I think this is the best sandwich at Subway.  They only have the sandwich for a limited time.  So hurry up and go grab one.

  1. I had one of the breakfast item yesterday morning: egg w/ cheese on flatbread and veggies of choices. It was pretty good IMO.

    Never tried their breakfast.
If I wake up early enough one day, I'll give it a try.

  2. I've heard good things about their new flatbread line and the glowing reviews keep on comin'! This baby probably didn't make it into their healthy sandwich list, but hey, no mayo right? And the bread is flat so less bread meaning less carbs. Hmmm... I think I've convinced myself with nonsensical reasoning to give this a try!

Hahahaha.... That's exactly how I convinced myself to try this sandwich!
You gotta give it a try!

  3. Hmm...that's interesting--and looks really good. I have a bit of a Subway addiction. I was in Japan this summer and had the hardest time ordering in a Subway (I know, I know, but my coworkers wanted to eat there)--I think it was the most difficult ordering of anywhere I went.

haha really? Was it because they didn't speak English?
Does Japanese Subway offer different items than the US ones?

  4. Well, they didn't speak English and although I took 4.5 years of Japanese, I didn't know the appropriate "subway" words. Plus there are so many choices! They didn't offer as many different choices as you would expect--it was pretty similar :) They even had Subway punch cards.

Really? They have special "subway" words? How funny.
I went to Subway in Taiwan before. They pretty much have the same thing as the US ones.
No special Taiwanese words for the ingredients though.
Just your simple "lettuce, tomato, onion please" kind of regular words. ^^
