After movie at El Capitan, we went next door to Disney's Soda Fountain for some food and ice cream.

Hollywood, CA by you.

Disney's Soda Fountain is a restaurant and a store in 1.  We went in to the restaurant from the side door at El Capitan directly.  But to be seated, we had to go outside the front door to talk to the hostess.  I didn't like the service from the hostess at all.  She did not smile, wasn't polite, and was extremely slow.  She had that "it's New Year and I shouldn't be working" attitude.

The Bolt Sundae @ Disney's Soda Fountain by you.

We saw the special "Bolt" Sundae ad on the table.  Looked good.  But it came with vanilla ice cream instead of the chocolate ice cream that Yi-Ping wanted.  Our nice waitress said "no problem".  Even when Yi-Ping requested a cheery on top, she smiled and said "of course".  I say fire the hostess and keep the waitress.

Grilled Cheese @ Disney's Soda Fountain by you.
Grilled Cheese ($6.95)
The cheese lover's sandwich. Thick slices of Tillamook cheddar cheese melted between your choice of white or wheat bread and accompanied by kettle chips and a dill pickle.  Sure to make a mouse or man take the bait.

4 of us ordered 2 sandwiches to share.  Iris got Grilled Cheese for the little one.  They liked it, even though it was way overpriced.

French Dip @ Disney's Soda Fountain by you.
French Dip ($8.95)
Lean sliced roast beef heated in au jus and served on a French roll.  Served with cole slaw and a dill pickle, and of course, hot au jus for dipping.

On the menu, the French Dip was served with cole slaw, but we didn't get any.  The roast beef was pretty good.  But I thought this sandwich was just alright.  It did filled me up though.

The Bolt Sundae @ Disney's Soda Fountain by you.
The Bolt Sundae ($8.95)
Experience the action with the new BOLT Sundae!  Rich vanilla ice cream exploding with real brownie pieces, drizzled with hot fudge and caramel, and topped with a fully awesome chocolate BOLT dog tag.

We got 2 Blot Sundae.  This was one delicious sundae.  The brownie was so good.  Vanilla ice cream with hot fudge and caramel, yum.  The waffle bowl was delicious as well.  Dr. P and I worked together to finish our sundae.  And that 4 year old little girl finished hers by herself.

Bill @ Disney's Soda Fountain by you.

2 sandwiches, 2 ice cream, $40.  Dessert at Disney's Soda Fountain was good, but overpriced.  Food at Disney's Soda Fountain was ok, but overpriced.  In conclusion, this is a overpriced restaurant.  But kids tend to be really happy here for some reason.  I wouldn't come here by myself, but wouldn't mind take a little one here for some ice cream.
