[Rosemead] [Chinese] Hunan Seafood Restaurant

Mom went back to Taiwan to visit so dad was home alone. Dr. P and I went back home to take him out for dinner. He requested Hunan Seafood.

Cold Appetizer (Beef & Tendon / Seaweed / Pig Ears) ($5.95)

Waitress brought us a free small plate of pickled radish. Dad thought it was too sour and didn't like it. We ordered a 3 items cold appetizer with beef & tendon, seaweed, and pig ears. Everything was great, and VERY spicy.

Toss-Fried Mutton w/ Cilantro ($10.98)

I like Toss-Fried Mutton w/ Cilantro a lot. The meat was very tender, and I just love the taste of cilantro.

Smoked Hunan Ham w/ Bamboo ($9.98)

Personally I'm not a fan of Smoked Hunan Ham. I always thought the meat was too salty and too hard to chew. But dad loves it. I like the bamboo though.

Boiled Beef Fish w/ Hot Sauce ($11.98)

Dr. P's favorite dish. Hunan version seemed to be a lot spicier than the Szechuan version. Also the sauce was not as thick. We took the leftover sauce home. I added fish filet and cabbage to it the next day. It was even better than the day before!

Sauteed Green Cabbage in Vinaigrette Sauce ($6.98)

Slightly spicy, slightly sour, and made me want to eat more and more.

Food at Hunan Seafood is really good. Portion was big. Enough leftover for my dad to eat for the rest of the week. I miss the food already.
