It was a cold night, and I wanted hot soup. Pho sounded like a good choice. We found Pho Bo Vang on Yelp. They were quite busy on a weeknight.
Cha Gio (Egg Rolls)
We started the meal with Cha Gio. These were great egg rolls. Not oily at all. The inside had ground meat, veggies, and vermecelli. Yum!
Pho
We both ordered Pho. Mine had everything in it, like tripes and tendons. The soup tasted great. I didn't feel thirsty afterward so I am assuming they don't or use very little MSG.
Bean Sprout / Basil / Jalapeno
Don't forget to add the goodies to your pho.
We like the food at Pho Bo Vang a lot. Our waitress was really friendly and funny. But the owner seemed very "unhappy". He's a scary looking guy with absolutely no smile on his face. Glad he wasn't the one serving us.

ReplyDeleteYou discovered our favorite pho spot! They don't use MSG at all, and their food is tasty. They also have the fresh spring rolls, and broken rice dishes (com tam). We also love their vietnamese coffee (so strong tho!) Hope you get to try other stuff next time :-)
I was eyeing their loc lac rice on the menu.
Next time I'll go for lunch to try their rice and coffee.
If I have Vietnamese coffee for dinner, probably will stay up all night. haha...
