We love Boiling Crab! I've noticed there are more and more similar type of restaurants popping up everywhere. We want to try more new restaurants, but just don't know which one to go to. I saw a $15 for $30 Groupon daily deal for Dang! Crabs. It was a good bargain to try out a new restaurant.

Dang! Crabs is a small place located in a Vietnamese shopping plaza. The restaurant wasn't busy at all when we went there on a Sunday night. The servers were all really nice and friendly.

They have similar menu as Boiling Crabs and slightly more expensive.

Bread

Our waitress brought us baguette and roasted garlic after we placed our order. We smeared the mushy garlic all over the baguette, and it was yummy.

Corona Beer ($5.00/each)

Our Groupon deal also included 2 drinks. We both ordered Corona. Corona just goes so well with spicy seafood for some reason.

Raw Oyster ($8.00/half)
Fresh shucked and shucked fresh

We ordered half dozen raw oyster to start the meal. The oyster was... not as good as Boiling Crab. Some of them didn't look that fresh. One was all weird looking and green. We actually sent that one back and they brought us a better looking one. I probably won't order raw oyster here again.

Cajun Boiled Shrimp ($12.99/lb)

We got one pound shrimp with "all of it" seasoning. Their "all of it" includes garlic butter, lemon herb, and spicy cajun. We read online that this restaurant was really heavy on butter. So when we ordered, we asked the waitress to go easy on the butter. For the shrimp, we still thought the sauce was too buttery. Because all that butter, we couldn't really taste the spicy cajun. The shrimp was fresh and big. It also came with potatoes, corn and sausages. I love the sweet corn!

Cajun Boiled Crawfish ($7.99/lb)

We also wanted to order a pound of crawfish. But the waitress told us their crawfish was frozen since it wasn't crawfish season anymore. We hesitated a bit. She said that we could order just 1/2 lb to try it first. We did that, and thought the crawfish tasted pretty good, then added another pound. We told here again to go easy on the butter. This time the sauce was just right. It was thicker and spicier.

Cajun Wings ($6.00)

Their Cajun Wings also came with fries. Nice! It was really good.

When we got our bill, we noticed that the 1/2 lb of crawfish we "tried" was crossed out. It was so nice of our waitress to give us the "free sample" to try.

With the Groupon deal, we only had to pay $8 with tips. Good bargain! We paid with credit card, and everything was done on an iPad. The technology we have right now!

At the end, they brought us napkin with fresh lemon juice squeeze on top to clean our hands. Very thoughtful.

We enjoyed the food at this restaurant, and the service was exceptional. It would be a good option when we're in the mood for Cajun style seafood.
