We went to lunch at Chili's on a weekend. Even though on the menu, it stated that lunch special is only offered during weekday, our waitress told us it is still valid on the weekend.

After studying the menu and price, we decided to stick with the $20 for 2 deal. It was a better value since price would be about the same, but $20 for 2 deal offered bigger portion.

I bought a new camera, and wanted to try it. This new camera takes really awesome pictures. I love the vibrant colors and the clarity of the picture. Even water looked good.

Texas Cheese Fries ($4.00)
Topped with jalapenos, green onions and finished with applewood smoked bacon. Served with ranch dressing.

My favorite appetizer from Chili's! Texas Cheese Fries was crispy on the outside, and soft in the inside. Tons of melted cheese on top and sprinkled with bacon, green onion and jalapenos. Dipping in chilled ranch sauce, it was just perfect.

Cajun Pasta with Grilled Chicken ($8.00)
Penne pasta with creamy garlic Alfredo sauce with Cajun spices and topped with tomatoes and green onions.

Dr. P ordered Cajun Pasta with Grilled Chicken. What he likes about this pasta was that the sauce was light, but the flavor was full. The grilled chicken was tender with smoky flavor. Tomatoes and green onions added balance to the garlic Alfredo sauce. The garlic bread was yummy, but probably fatty. Portion was big so Dr. P had 1/2 plate leftover.

Grilled Shrimp Tacos ($8.00)
Three flour tortillas with Grilled shrimp in a spicy chile-lime sauce, topped with fresh cilantro lime slaw, house-made pico de gallo and sliced avocados.

I ordered Grilled Shrimp Tacos before, and really liked it. However, this time they made the sauce a little bit too vinegary for my taste. It wasn't as good as last time.

When we got our bill, we noticed the price wasn't right. Our waitress looked at it, and said, "Yup, that's the price for $20 for 2." Uh.... so $20 for 2 is actually $22.79 for 2? That just didn't make sense. So we insisted that she checked again.

She came back with a new receipt. Yes, $20 for 2 should come out as $20, not $22.79.

How do you like the pictures with the new camera? :-)
