Dr. P only went to Black Angus once when he was little.  So when my mom talks about how she loves the prime ribs from Black Angus, Dr. P can't really understand why.  We got a Black Angus coupon in the mail.  Perfect!  I can take Dr. P to try the "famous" (because my mom always talks about it) prime ribs.

Molasses Bread

The meal started with warm Molasses Bread.  The bread was soft and sweet.

Mojito ($8.00)

Dr. P ordered a Mojito.  It came in a really tall glass.  The mojito was on the sour side.  I would prefer it a little sweeter and more minty though.

Wagon Wheel Sampler Platter ($12.99)
Crispy Fried Garlic-Pepper Zucchini, Buffalo Chicken Tenders, Loaded Potato Skins, and Shrimp Cocktail.

For starter, we got the Wagon Wheel Sampler Platter.  I love the Crispy Fried Garlic-Pepper Zucchini, even though it was really greasy.  Buffalo Chicken Tenders were alright.  Loaded Potato Skins was quite good.  Dr. P's favorite is the Shrimp Cocktail.

Caesar Salad

Each entree came with two sides.  One of the sides we picked was Caesar Salad.  It was a really big plate of Caesar Salad.  The lettuce tasted fresh.  I actually like the fact that there weren't too much dressing on it.  The shaved Parmesan cheese already added enough flavor.

8 oz Prime Rib ($17.99) / Classic Baked Potato

THE Prime Rib!  Dr. P took one bite, and said "wow!  That's a good prime rib!"  Then he stopped talking, and kept on eating.  Dr. P said this was the best prime rib he's ever had, and he finally understood why my mom likes it so much.

12 oz Ribeye ($21.99) / Steamed Broccoli with Shaved Parmesan / Sweet Potato Fries with Maple Dipping Sauce

We also ordered Ribeye.  We ordered it meidum, but it was more like a medium well.  It wasn't bad, but we both like the prime rib a lot more.  The Steamed Broccoli with Shaved Parmesan was good.  Sweet Potato Fries was a bit soggy.  And the Maple Dipping Sauce was too sweet.  I don't think I'll order this side again.  We finished the prime rib, but left most f the Ribeye untouched.  The manager saw and asked us about it.  We told him it was a little bit overcooked.  He offered to exchange for another one.  But we were pretty full at that point, and thanked him but declined the offer.

Sky-High Mud Pie ($4.99)

For dessert, we got the Sky-High Mud Pie.  It was a huge piece of mocha ice cream pie.  Delicious!

The manager gave us our bill, and told us that he took off $5 because of the Ribeye.  Well, he didn't really have to do that, but it was very nice of him.  It made us like Black Angus even more.

Yeah, I know it's not those gourmet high-end steakhouse.  It's just a chain restaurant.  But we really like the prime rib at Black Angus.  Definitely will be back again when we get our next coupon in the mail!
