After the hike, we first decided to go to an Indian buffet restaurant for lunch.  But most people didn't have the appetite for buffet after working out, and decided to go back to Wen's house to hangout.  But I have 2 midterms coming up and had to go http://www.eileenlikestoeat.com to study afterward.  So Dr. P and I stopped by at Taste of Asia to grab a quick lunch before going http://www.eileenlikestoeat.com.

紅燒牛肉面 Braised Beef Soup Noodle ($5.99)

Dr. P got a bowl of Braised Beef Soup Noodle.  The soup was pretty spicy, but not to the point of undrinkable spicy.  We could really taste the Szechuan peppercorn in the soup.  The beef could be braised a little longer, but we really enjoy the spicy soup.

擔擔面 Spicy Dan Dan Noodle w/ Ground Pork ($5.99)

I ordered Spicy Dan Dan Noodle with Ground Pork.  But when the noodle was brought to our table, there was no ground pork in it.  After asking the waitress about it, she took the noodle back and the chef added some meat to the noodle for us.  The waitress explained that the chef was new and he wasn't familiar with their recipe yet.  I thought the Dan Dan Noodle was just alright.  It didn't taste too bad, but it wasn't exactly good, either.  Dr. P didn't like it though.

紅油炒手 Wonton Tossed w/ Chili Sauce ($5.99)

We also ordered Wonton Tossed with Chili Sauce to share.  Taste of Asia's version was very soupy.  I even thought that maybe their version was made with soup, and tried a sip.  Nope, it wasn't soup, just spicy oil.  The spicy wontons smelt really good when it was brought to the table.  It was the aroma of garlic, chili oil, green onion and sesame all mix together.  The wontons were boiled separately and put into the chili sauce, and it tasted a little bland.  We had the leftover and it tasted much better since the wonton was soaked in the chili sauce for a few hours.

The best dish was the Braised Beef Soup Noodle.  We will definitely order this dish again.  But next time, I think I still prefer their spicy dishes with rice.
