After our ATV tour, we still had about one hour before we need to go back to the cruise.  We walked around the marina and decided to get a drink.  Tequila Shark Bar was the most popular restaurant/bar at the marina so we joined the crowd.

We sat at the outdoor seating area overlooking the marina.  The weather was really nice.

You would think food must be cheap in Mexico.  Not quite.  If you pay with US money, it's $1 for 10 pesos.  So french fries is US$6 in Mexico.  Even chips & salsa, which we get for free in most Mexican restaurants, cost US$3.30 in Mexico.  Taco, burrito, quesadilla  all cost around US$8~10.  I thought the price was even more expensive than the US.

Mango Margarita (MEX$55) / Regular Margarita (MEX$55)

I ordered a mango margarita and Dr. P ordered the regular one.  We both liked the mango margarita better.  It was tasty, but didn't have much alcohol in it.

Baja Style Nachos (MEX$60)

We ordered a nacho.  After waiting for 20 minutes, finishing our margaritas, and asking our waitress numerous times about it, we still didn't get it.  But the waitress kept on coming back to ask if we wanted more drinks.  We started feeling that was their tactic to sell more drinks.  I mean, how long does it take to make nachos?  So finally we lost our patience and told the waitress to cancel the order and bring us the check.  10 seconds after we asked, our nachos came.

The nachos was pretty good.  Tons of toppings.  Melted cheese, salsa, jalapeno, beans, and guacamole.  It was a bit pricey, $6 for a small plate.

Corona Beer (MEX$33)

We were out of drinks to go with our nachos, and water cost money in Mexico.  So if we have to spend money anyway, let's just get a Corona.  We didn't even know they had a "buy a beer get a free tequila shot" special until the waitress brought the drinks to us.  I took the shot.  I am not a tequila expert, so this shot just taste like tequila to me.  Dr. P said it was probably some cheap tequila.

Our first meal/snack in Mexico cost US$23 (with tips) for 2 drinks, 1 beer and a nacho.  Definitely a lot more than I expected.  We were happy with the food at Tequila Shark Bar, but not the service. They purposely took way longer than needed to bring us the food just so we would order more drinks.  Very sneaky.  The price was high because it was in the tourist area.  If you are in Cabo, I would recommend coming here to get a beer and a free tequila shot.  But save the money to get cheaper food with better service somewhere else.

When we were leaving the restaurant, we saw a guy with crazy hair and funny sunglasses.  I asked him if I could take a picture of him and he smiled.  ^^

I am SO sorry and ashamed to see your comment about the delay and bad service at the bar, your photos are awesome and the review is thorough and fair. We still have the free tequila shot with every beer, it´s very popular. Also have made several changes to improve the speed at the kitchen and will be happy to offer a 20% discount on food to anyone mentioning your review. We are sincerely grateful for your honesty and for your taking the time to share your experiences on the web, we are constantly learning from your american culture,it´s admirable.
