NCL Mexican Riviera Cruise Day 1: Blue Lagoon Snack

Every night there was entertainment. The first night was a welcome show. There were dancing and singing. After the show, we walked around and explored the ship. We were both a little sick from the ship moving so much around dinner time and didn't eat much. So we got hungry.

We headed to the 24 hour Blue Lagoon for some snack.  This free restaurant serves diner style food.  Hamburger, sandwiches, fries, that sort of things.  The restaurant was packed with tons of people waiting.  We also saw a lot of people order the food for to go.  The server would wrap the plates and put it in a tray for you.

Buffalo Wings

When we were walking around the ship, I overheard someone said, "have you tried the buffalo wings at Blue Lagoon?  It was so good!  You gotta try it."  We got an order of course.  There were mild or spicy options.  We opted for spicy.  The wings were truly delicious.  But it was a bit oily, mainly from the butter and tabasco spicy sauce that they put on the wings.

Chef's Salad

I got a salad.  The portion was pretty small, but perfect for snack.  Everything was really fresh.  It wasn't a special salad, but it was a good salad.

Cheeseburger

Dr. P got a cheeseburger.  He said it was one good cheeseburger.  I took a bite.  It was indeed one good cheeseburger.

We were full, and happy after our almost midnight snack.  Headed back to our room.  We were planning to watch a DVD after shower, but we both passed out.  Day 1 was great.  More food coming on day 2!
