We haven't been to K'ya Bistro for a while. They did some remodeling of the place. Now the bar is outside in the hotel lobby. Price went up a bit. The food is still delicious though.

Sauvignon blanc ($11.00) / Chanti ($9.00)

Cheese Plate ($6.00)

We always get the cheese plate to go with wine.

Mixed Olives ($4.00)

White Bean Cassoulet ($10.00)
Duck confit, beef short rib and sausage

I'm in love with their White Bean Cassoulet. All the meat (duck and short rib) was super tender. The warm stew was so flavorful. It tasted like it was simmered for a long long time.

Seared Wild Scallops ($10.00)
Organic polenta, spinach, mushroom, lemon butter

Another great dish. The scallop was cooked perfectly.

Grilled Filet Mignon ($10.00)
Spinach, organic polenta and blue cheese

The scallop was better than the filet mignon.

Lobster Macaroni & Cheese ($10.00)
Lobster cognac cream, parmesan crust

Lobster Macaroni & Cheese was yummy. Tons of lobster in it. But they used to have truffle in it as well. Also portion seemed to be a lot smaller than before.

Sweet Potato Fries

Most delicious dipping sauce ever! It was creamy, spicy, and I think I tasted sage?

Coffee

Creme Brulee ($4.00)

Our waiter comped our coffee and dessert because he forgot to put our order in and we had to wait for a long time for our food.

Love this restaurant!

  1. Everything looks delish! Have to get over there. Thanks for the review. Have you tried cafe hiro in cypress? You may like it.

No, I haven't tried Cafe Hiro.
But I've heard about this place before.
Really want to go try it now!... hopefully soon.
