[Garden Grove] [Vietnamese] Banh Mi & Che Cali

Banh Mi & Che Cali
13838 Brookhurst Street
Garden Grove, CA 92843
(714) 534-6987

While waiting for our food to be ready at Boiling Crab To-Go, we walked around to see what else is in this plaza.  There's a Banh Mi & Che Cali there!  We went in to take a look.

Boba & Pudding Milk Tea

In Alhambra location, boba milk tea is $2.00 buy 1 get 1 free.  In this location, it's $2.75 (I think) buy 1 get 1 free.  That's probably the cheapest boba in Orange County.  We both ordered boba plus pudding milk tea.  Yum!

Combination Sandwich

Then we saw their buy 2 get 1 free sandwich special, and decided to get 3 sandwiches for to-go in case the food from Boiling Crab wasn't enough.  Each sandwich is about $2.50.  So $5.00 will get you 3 sandwiches.  The combination sandwich had jambon, headcheese and pate.  Tasty!

Meatball Sandwich

Meatball sandwich is my favorite.  It wasn't even meatball, just really soft ground meat with crunchy things (water chestnut maybe?).

BBQ Pork Sandwich

BBQ Pork Sandwich was really good as well.  The pork wasn't too dry like some other place's.  We didn't have the stomach to eat the sandwiches that night.  They tasted really good the next day.

Raisin Roll ($3.00)

Dr. P bought a bag of raisin rolls.  The bread was soft, and it had a little bit of those yellow sweet crumb in the middle.  Pretty good for breakfast.

Flan ($1.00)

We also bought a flan for dessert.  It was creamy, sweet, and yummy.

Too bad this Banh Mi & Che Cali doesn't have the cooked food like Alhambra and San Gabriel locations do.  But I like their sandwiches and drinks.  Price is so cheap here.  I would stop by again next time we go to Boiling Crab.

  1. usually in the ground meat if they dont use the water chestnuts then they use jicama sorta as a meat filler.

That's right, jicama. I like the crunchiness texture it added to the sandwich.
