[Bishop] [American] Jack's Restaurant & Bakery

Jack's Restaurant & Bakery
437 N Main St
Bishop, CA 93514
(760) 872-7971

We passed Bishop around 2:30pm.  It was time to eat again.  We didn't have plan on where to eat, so just stopped by at a random restaurant on Main Street.

We picked Jack's Restaurant & Bakery because it looked like a nice diner from outside.  They had the restaurant history and story on the menu.  We found out this place has been opened for 60 years!

Their breakfast menu looked great.  I think this place is more popular for breakfast.  People stop here before heading up to Mammoth to fish or hunt.

Lots of trouphy size trout and salmon mounted on the wall.  Definately suitable decor for this area.

Soup + Salad ($6.59)

We ate so much on this trip and just wanted somthing light.  I ordered a soup and salad combo.  The soup of the day was Broccoli and Cheddar.  It was very good.  The salad was fresh and crisp.  Light and exactly what we were looking for.

Soup + Salad + 1/2 BLT Sandwich ($8.29)

Dr. Park ordered the same soup and salad plus 1/2 BLT sandwich.  The bacon was a bit overcooked and too hard to eat.  This sandwich was just ok.

The service here was fast and friendly.  We would love to come here to try their breakfast next time.
