[Aliso Viejo] [Thai] Siamese Express

Siamese Express

Ever since our first visit to Siamese Express, we've been back a few times for takeout food. Their food is authentic and seriously good. Dr. P did the ordering that night.

Tom Yum Chicken Soup ($8.25)

Tom Yum Chicken Soup was quite spicy. I think majority of their clientele are non-Asians, but they don't tone down the strong Thai flavor a bit. There were a lot of chicken and button mushroom in the soup.

Pork and Eggplant with Chili and Basil Leaves ($7.99)

Pork and Eggplant with Chili and Basil Leaves was a great dish to be enjoyed with rice. We've had basil leaves dishes at many Thai restaurants. Most of the time they try to make the dish sweeter, but not Siamese Express. This dish was savory and rich. Pork was tender, and I enjoyed the vegetables even more.

Beef Curry with Bamboo Shoots ($7.99)

Beef Curry with Bamboo Shoots was also a great dish with rice. I ate one bowl of rice with pork and eggplant, and another bowl. Darn Siamese Express. You made me gained two pounds! Lots of bamboo shoots in the curry. I realized I like vegetables more than meat now.

McCafe Frozen Strawberry Lemonade

After picking up our takeout food, we went across the street to McDonald's to get a Frozen Strawberry Lemonade for free with a coupon I got in the Sunday paper. The lemonade accompanied spicy Thai food really well.

Who knew there's an authentic Thai food restaurant like Siamese Express down in South Orange County!
