I couldn't stop thinking about and talking about how good the food at Native Foods was since the visit with my sister.  Dr. P was curious.  Can vegan food really taste as good as I described?  I took Dr. P there and proved I was right (as always... I am ALWAYS right.  haha...)

Lavender Lemonade ($2.95)
French lavender steeped with fresh lemons. Sweeten with organic sugar.

Native Foods has 3 drinks, lavender lemonade, watermelon fresca, and Native iced tea.  The drink is self served and refillable.  My favorite is the lavender lemonade.  It's yummy lemonade with just a hint of lavender.  So good.

Scorpion Burger ($8.95) / Sweet Potato Fries ($1.95)
Chef Tanya's original burger! Homemade Tempeh blackened with chipotle sauce, lettuce, carrots, avocado and onions.

Dr. P ordered Scorpion Burger with a side of Sweet Potato Fries.  The http://www.eileenlikestoeat.commade tempeh was very tasty.  Dr. P enjoyed the burger with all the fresh vegetables and spicy chipotle sauce.

Gandhi Bowl ($8.95)
Chef Tanya's Tempeh blackened on a bed of jasmine and brown rice. Topped with organic greens, steamed veggies, wild curry sauce, cranberries and green onions.

I got a Gandhi Bowl.  I really really really really like the tempeh.  So tasty!  The vgetable were good, but I wished there was more curry sauce with the bowl.  I enjoyed Gandhi Bowl a lot, but thought I like the Rockin' Moroccan Bowl I had last time a bit better.

Roasted Zucchini Soup ($1.95)

For the side, I added a cup of soup.  The soup that day was Roasted Zucchini Soup.  I noticed everything at Native Foods is a little spicy, which we like a lot.  The vegetable soup had just a little kick of spicy.  Dr. P loved it.

Dr. P's first time at Native Foods was exactly like my first time.  He couldn't stop talking about and thinking about the delicious and healthy vegan food.  haha...

  1. I'm salivating too. For lunch today I ate a salad with17 vegetables in it and it was sooooo good. I think good vegan food is hard to make. Everything has to be super fresh. We must all be getting older; older people like vegetables.

17 vegetables? Wow! Must be an amazing salad!!
No, you're getting older (*pointing finger at you*) and I AM NOT (*no no no... refusing to accept reality!!*)
    hahahahaha.... :-P
