Dr. P's family came to visit us down in South Orange County.  California Pizza Kitchen is one of Dr. P's mom's favorite restaurant.  She didn't feel like going out to eat on a weekend night because most likely there would be a wait.  So Dr. P went to get take-out for us to enjoy the meal at http://www.eileenlikestoeat.com.  Dr. P called ahead to order, and they offered the curbside pick-up service.  But we found out later that they charge extra $2 or $3 for the curbside service.  That's really lame.

The Original BBQ Chicken Pizza ($12.99)
Our most popular pizza, introduced in our first restaurant in Beverly Hills in 1985. Barbeque sauce, smoked Gouda and Mozzarella cheeses, BBQ chicken, sliced red onions and fresh cilantro.

BBQ Chicken Pizza is always delicious at CPK.  Actually I like their BBQ Chicken Salad a lot, too.

Wild Mushroom Pizza ($11.99)
A selection of fresh Cremini, Shiitake, Portobello and white mushrooms, Fontina and Mozzarella cheeses with a wild mushroom walnut pesto. Garnished with chopped fresh Italian parsley.

I just happened to love mushroom and cheese, so I thought the Wild Mushroom Pizza was really really good.  Dr. P's brother's girlfriend is vegetarian so she ordered this pizza.  I would order it again even though I'm not a vegetarian.

Jambalaya Pasta ($15.49)
Blackened chicken and shrimp in a spicy Jambalaya sauce with crawfish, Andouille sausage and Tasso ham served on linguini fini and topped with fresh green onions.

Jambalaya Pasta was on the heavy side.  It was tasty, but the seasoning was strong and a bit too salty.  I could only eat a little bit of it.  But the guys thought it was great.

CPK Cobb Salad ($13.49)
Chopped lettuce with applewood smoked bacon, fresh avocado, chilled-grilled chicken breast, fresh diced Roma tomatoes, chopped egg, basil and Gorgonzola cheese served with your choice of our http://www.eileenlikestoeat.commade herb ranch dressing or blue cheese dressing. Also available with fresh beets.

CPK Cobb Salad was really good.  Well, I could easily make the same salad at http://www.eileenlikestoeat.com with the same ingredients.  But I also enjoyed having someone chopped everything up and put them in a container so I could just eat it.  haha...

I like CPK.  The food was yummy.  But the extra charge for the curbside service has gotta go.
