Chili's $20 for 2 special is back!  We tried the deal before, and got 1 appetizer + 2 entrees + 1 dessert for $20.  Then we went back to Chili's again and found out the deal was gone.  Then last month I received an email from them saying the $20 for 2 deal is back.  But this time the $20 only gets you 1 appetizer + 2 entrees.


Texas Cheese Fries with Chili
Topped with our famous chili, jalapenos, green onions and finished with applewood smoked bacon. Served with jalapeno-ranch dressing.

For appetizer, we picked half order of Texas Cheese Fries with Chili.  These fries were super addictive.  It was the big fat fries that were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside.  Tons of melted cheese on top, with bacon bits & green onions & jalapeno, dipping in ranch sauce.  I knew it was fat, but I couldn't stop eating them.



Baby Back Ribs (Memphis Dry Rub)
We've always smoked our ribs in-house. But now we're slow-smoking them over pecan wood so they're fall-off-the-bone tender with a bold and savory flavor that's impossible to resist.

Dr. P always want his back back when he goes to Chili's.  This time he tried Memphis Dry Rub Baby Back Ribs with a side of corn on the cob.  The Memphis rub, which consisted of herbs and spices, had big flavor.  Dipping in BBQ sauce, the dry rubbed ribs had more flavor than the regular ribs.  We enjoyed it a lot.


Margarita Grilled Chicken
Classic Margarita-flavored grilled chicken with hints of lime and citrus, served with rice, black beans, tortilla strips and house-made pico de gallo.

I ordered Margarita Grilled Chicken.  The chicken breast was nicely grilled.  The meat was tender and flavorful.  Rice, black bean and salsa all tasted great.

Dr. P didn't know that dessert wasn't included in the $20 for 2 deal anymore.  He ordered a cheesecake.  Since we were too full, he asked for the cheesecake for to-go so I didn't take a picture of it.  When the bill came, Dr. P found out that the cheesecake had cost us $6 extra.  Oh well, at least it was a big piece of yummy cheesecake with strawberry on top.

We like Aliso Viejo's Chili's.  Food was great, and service was very friendly.  I hope the $20 for 2 deal is here to stay forever.
