Dad heard about East Gourmet Seafood Restaurant from his friend.  His friend told him the food is good with reasonable price.  So when my aunt and cousin came to visit from San Jose, my parents took them here for dinner.


花生 Peanuts

I forgot to bring my camera.  So the photos were taken with my cell phone.  Complimentary peanut was oily, but good.



海鮮羹 Seafood Soup ($9.99)

Dad ordered his favorite seafood soup.  There were a lot of seafood in it, shrimp, fish, scallop.  Pretty good.


茄子牛仔骨煲 Short Ribs with Eggplant Hot Pot ($8.88)

Short Ribs with Eggplant Hot Pot was my favorite dish of the night.  The short ribs were tender and the eggplant was full of flavor.  This dish was great with rice.


梅菜扣肉煲 Braised Pork with Preserved Vegetable Hot Pot ($8.88)

Their version of braised pork with preserved vegetable wasn't the kind we like.  Maybe it was more of a Cantonese flavor rather than the Taiwanese flavor that we are used to.  The meat had too much fat.  We didn't like this dish.


香芋滑雞煲 Chicken with Taro Hot Pot ($8.88)

Yes, we ordered 3 hot pot dishes.  Chicken with Taro Hot Pot was mom and aunt's favorite.  It also had some sausage in the pot.  The milk sauce was pretty tasty.  Aunt liked it so much that she said she wanted to drink the sauce.


雲勝炒魚崧 Fish Cake with Vegetable ($7.99)

Fish Cake with Vegetable was another great dish.


煲仔飯 Pork Short Rib Hot Pot Rice

We got a free Pork Short Rib Hot Pot Rice because we ordered more than $35.  Everybody liked it, but we were too full to finish.  When the waiter took the food to pack for us, they didn't pack this one for some reason.


紅豆湯 Red Bean Soup

Complimentary dessert was red bean soup.



My aunt really liked the restaurant, and she wanted to come back to try their dim sum.  I liked the food as well.  Maybe we'll come back again and try more different dishes.
