We're Moving to OC

I know I know.... I am so behind on updating my blog.  I have been really busy because I'm working at an animal shelter this summer and we are moving down to Orange County.... TOMORROW!

Once I get settled in to our new apartment, I promise I'll update like craaaaaazy.  haha....

Hello, Irvine, here we come!

  5. Hi Eileen!

Reading from your blog you are moving to the OC but I do hope you do plan on visiting L.A. often. We are currently working on an exclusive blogger event for Got Milk? in a couple of weeks and wanted to know if you might interested in attending and receing information.

Let me know what you think.

    Best,

    Mariana

    Thank you for your message.
I am definitely interested in attending and receiving information about the exclusive blogger event for Got Milk?.

  7. Welcome to The OC! Its going to take some getting used to, but if you're like me you will soon love it and be delighted anytime that you are returning from Los Angeles. Compared to L.A. you'll notice that the air is better, the streets are wider and cleaner, its less crowded and things just look nicer here. Food-wise, you will miss a lot of things that L.A. offers, but terrific restaurants (and food bargains) are out here. You have to search them out because The OC is dominated with chain restaurants (which isn't a bad thing because I like lots of them). By the way, please see the OC Register's Thursday Food section-----today they bashed the heck out of Extreme Pizza (a gourmet-style pizza chain aka Calif Pizza Kitchen) in Irvine.

I've been in Irvine for a week now. I love the weather and the blue sky here.
The roads are bigger and definitely not as crowded as LA.
I did notice there are a lot of chain restaurants around the area.
I also notice the restaurant prices are much higher than LA's.
I still have lots of exploring to do. And I'm enjoying every bit of it.

  11. Congratulation on the move.
I love Irvine too. It's a very convenient place for Chinese people, but it does not lose the feel of living in a American neighborhood. Not like where you used to live at least.

Well, things are looking brighter and more exciting for you, and I think in the near future, we will be hearing the news of you getting to walk on the aisle lo..^_^..

    Awwww I'm blushing... @^_^@

  12. Not quite sure if you know there is another Korean market close to you or not.

Freshia Market in Tusin. (called HK market few years ago)
    14551 Red Hill Ave, Tustin - (714) 731-6801

after 6 or 7pm, side dish such as potato salad, fish cake...etc...has 30-50% off (i used to go M-F)

Sounds like a great deal! Thanks for the info, Angela.
I will check out the place soon.
