After our relaxing brunch at Bino's, we walked across the street to tour the historical Hotel del Coronado.

This hotel was built in 1888, which make this place 121 years old!

The view of the hotel.  It looked pretty nice from the outside.

But somehow I didn't like the inside too much.  You can definitely tell this hotel has a lot of history.  But I can also picture the lobby full of.... ghosts at night time for some reason.

Here is a little history about the Hotel del Coronado.

Outside in the courtyard, there are statues of Dr. Seuss's characters.  Cute.

The beach is just a few steps away.

A view of the hotel from the beach.

We caught a little crab sunbathing on the rock.

We walked pass the pool area.  There were nobody in the pool because everybody was at the beach.  So this little sparrow is making the pool his own bathtub.

Other birds saw him, and decided to join him.  Watching the birds taking bath was very entertaining.

As we were leaving, we saw this duck at the fountain.  Where did he come from?

The duck was having fun in the fountain by himself.  He wasn't afraid of people at all.  He didn't seem to mind that I was standing so close to him and filming him.

I like the location of Hotel del Coronado.  But I don't think I want to stay here.  This place gives me the creep.  I like our hotel much better.  Has anyone stay here before?  How are their rooms?

  2. It is so dark inside the Hotel del Coronado! A bit unexpected for me. Haha...I too went to the beach there! We ate at the Brigantine afterwards.

I know! It was sooooo dark and eerie inside.
