[Coronado] [Deli] Bino's European Coffee & Crepes

Bino's European Coffee & Crepes

Coronado, CA 92118

Our last day in San Diego, we wanted to take it easy and just relax.  We woke up late, checked out from the hotel, and went to Coronado downtown area for brunch.

We found Bino's European Coffee & Crepes on a small side street.  The outdoor seats looked inviting.

Coffee of the Day ($2.00)

We started the day with some fresh coffee.  The coffee was so good that I think I had 3 cups.

Tortilla Soup ($4.75)
A bowl of our famous http://www.eileenlikestoeat.com made Tortilla soup w/ avocado & cheese

The Tortilla Soup definitely tasted http://www.eileenlikestoeat.com made.  Love the fresh avocado.

Focaccia with Prosciutto Mozzarella & Peppers ($9.75)
Prosciutto ham, fresh mozzarella, marinated roasted peppers & kalamata olives on focaccia bread.  Served with fine greens & balsamic vinaigrette.

Dr. P ordered Focaccia with Prosciutto Mozzarella & Peppers.  This was one delicious sandwich.  We both loved it.  Dr. P didn't like the dressing on the salad because he thought it was too sweet.  Since I love sweets, I thought the salad was great.

Chicken Florentine Crepe ($9.00)
Marinated chicken breast, spinach & Mornay sauce

I got the Chicken Florentine Crepe.  The chicken was tender, but the overall taste of the dish was a bit bland.  We both thought the sandwich was better than the crepe.

We enjoyed our brunch on the sidewalk under the warm Coronado sun.  We even enjoyed the little bugs that fell on our tables from the trees haha.  What a great morning!

  1. Everything looks so fantastic and so fulfilling with a load of ingredients! I like how the crepe was presented; I visited the French Crepe in Hollywood and it certainly did not look as good as your chicken florentine crepe!

Somehow I am not used to avocado in tortilla soup. But that may be also because the one time I did try avocado with tortilla soup, the avocado was bitter and when it got warm the whole entire tortilla soup got that yucky taste!

Bitter avocado? I have never had avocado that's bitter.
Maybe you just got a bad one.
