Restaurant La Cantina BBQ is one of the Costa Verde Hotel's restaurants.  But actually it's not in the hotel, but across the street from the hotel.



It gets dark very early in Costa Rica.  Usually around 6pm it's already dark outside.  We got to the restaurant around 5-ish.  It was still empty, but later the restaurant filled up.



Margarita (CR@2,900) (US$5.80) / Blueberry Daiquiri (CR$2,900) (US$5.80)

We came at happy hour so drinks were buy 1 get 1 free.  All cocktails are the same price so we figured we could choose two for the price of one.  I ordered a Blueberry Daiquiri, and Dr. P got a Margarita.  Then the waiter brought us 4 drinks!  2 Blueberry Daiquiri and 2 Margarita!!  Oh yeah, we went to bed buzzed that night.  The blueberry daiquiri was super yummy!


Dinner Roll

Dinner started with some warm soft dinner roll.


Fettuccine with Seafood (CR$5,100) (US$10.20)

I was in the mood for pasta, again.  I ordered Fettuccine with Seafood, and it was really really really really good.  The flavor wasn't all Italian.  It was more of a Costa Rican and Italian fusion sort of taste.  THe seafood was fresh.  Sauce was yummy.  And pasta was cooked al dante and perfect.  Loved every bite!


Pork Ribs with BBQ Sauce (CR$9,900) (US$19.80)
16 ounce rack, barbecue sauce, corn on the cob, baked potato, with grilled vegetables.

Dr. P ordered Pork Ribs with BBQ Sauce.  It was HUGE!  This plate had enough food to feed 4 people.  The ribs were fall off the bone tender.  The BBQ sauce had a honey taste to it.  It was DDDDDelicious!  The vegetables, corn, and mashed potatoes were equally good.



This was one very satisfying meal.  Everything was good.  We even had enough left-over to take back for dinner next night.  Now I am all thinking about it, I think I'm craving for ribs again!
