[Costa Rica Honeymoon] [Day 2] Santa Elena, Monteverde

After lunch, we walked around Santa Elena Town Center.

This guy was riding his horse around town.

Sushi is very expensive in Costa Rica.  Tuna sashimi cost about US$18.

Police chatting with a girl outside of the station.  I guess girls like man in uniform in every country.  haha....

The cutest husky puppy.  He has one blue eye and one brown eye.  I couldn't get a clear picture of him because he was jumping around like crazy and wanted to play with us in the rain.

Dr. P playing with the puppy.

We stopped by Panaderia Jimenez to get some yummy bakery goodies.  We tried bread pudding, some yellow soft gooey cake thing, and an empinada with beef and potatoes.  Everything was good.

This is a small bakery, but their business is really good.

This little chihuahua was the mayor of the town.  We saw him at EVERY shop/restaurant/supermarket.  He definitely knows how to play cute to get his lunch.

The town is not far from our hotel, but a little bit too far to walk.  We had to take a $6 taxi to get back.  Expensive for 3 minutes ride.
